Police Play Huge Role at Birthday Party with the birthday boy to make for some very memorable keepsakes. “The police were the hit of the party! The kids had a blast getting to see the Police car up close and personal,” said Cathleen Roy, Hunter’s mother. “I’m happy that the Ste. Anne Police gave us this opportunity to make Hunter’s Birthday a little more memorable!” To add to the great pictures of Hunter’s birthday party, Cathleen took some great gag shots of her mother, Adele Roeland being arrested after becoming rowdy and her mother-in-law, Pauline Roy getting caught red handed with pot (of chili)! “I would like to thank the officers for stopping by to ‘ice the cake’ for Hunter’s birthday party,” added Cathleen. “It made Hunter and all the children so happy.”
Officer with 2 year old Hunter and his younger brother Tony. Saturday, June 23rd started out to be your average 2 year olds birthday party but turned in to a fun filled gag story that will be talked about for years by all who attended. Hunter Roy’s 2nd birthday party was on a roll with food, presents andcake. Even a clown stopped in to celebrate and do face painting for the children. Suddenly the Ste. Anne Police rolled in with lights flashing. They proceeded to get out of the car and let the children and adults explore the police car and even succumbed to a few photos

Norm Larocque Saw Stanley with Lanny
Did you ever wonder Why isn’t the number 11 pronounced onety-one? How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered? Why is it called “after dark” when it is really “after light”? When dog food is new and improved tasting, who tests it? When they first invented the clock, how did they know what time it was to set it to?

Farley Age: Born July 2011 Sex: Male Breed: Malamute Shepherd X Size: Large-Extra Large (80-100 lbs) Hi I’m FARLEY! I came into care at MMDR as a stray outside of Winnipeg. I’m an easy going boy who loves to play with my foster sisters and snuggle on the couch. I am house trained and am getting used to being in a crate while my mom goes to work, and won’t do any harm if you let me sleep beside you come bedtime (I LOVE to snuggle!). I am good with cats and other dogs. I LOVE going for walks and play dates but need to learn how strong I am before I can be better on a leash. I am an 80 lbs pup right now and will be a bigger boy, but I think I’m a lap dog, I am silly like that. Can I be your new best friend?
Here is a very easy cookie recipe even the kids could make. A nice home baked cookie... 1 cup shortening or margarine 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda in a bit of hot water 2 cups rolled oats 6 oz. chocolate chips 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1 - 1/2 cups of flour Mix all ingredients in order. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-15 min at 350-degree oven for a very soft cookie. For a healthier cookie use whole-wheat flour, non-hydrogenated margarine, dark chocolate chips and no salt.
Quotable Quotes... “We don’t see things the way they are. We see them the way WE are.” “The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be” – Marcel Pagnol. “Too many people spend money they haven’t earned, to buy things they don’t want, to impress people they don’t like ...”– Will Rogers. “Life isn’t a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latté in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ‘Woohoo WHAT A RIDE’!” What are you waiting for? Get up and do something amazing!
Ste. Anne Police Board in the Works Ste. Anne Mayor Bernie Vermette says the province is doing the right thing by requiring communities with municipal police departments to set up a police board. He explains this will help police departments to do their jobs even better. “It’s like another watchful eye that really helps the police department do their jobs in the best, professional way they possibly can. What I’m glad about is the province has come down with some guidelines to follow which is great. It’s a win-win situation. It’s a positive move ahead.” Justice Minister Andrew Swan says the purpose of the police boards will be to oversee police services, establish priorities and objectives, hire police chiefs and administer budgets. Vermette says he has been pushing for the establishment of police boards since 2006. As for

Those two people would be on that board plus another person from the community atlarge. All we need is some fine tuning as to what the guidelines
