Jacobsen’s enchanted botanical paintings are driven by her imagination and conviction of the connection between all living things. Her work is meant to inspire contemplation of the world’s inherent beauty and in so doing to see our own. Jacobsen’s multi-media and many-layered paintings point toward the fragility and tenderness of a flower, evoking a certain sweet longing, a reminder of impermanence.
