Parts and Pieces was primary to work with crafted set of landscapes, and have a better idea of how scale takes a critical role in landscape architecture. However, forests and fields influence makes a person feel a certain way, enclosed, or even directed. +1/2” UNIFORM SLOPE + 3 WALLS + FIELD

PROJECT TWO MAPPING

After having a better scale perspective, we moved in the analytical process of a site; mapping consists of analyzing critical systems of the site and its contexts, not only the design of the individual site, but looking at it beyond its physical limits. Then find potential programmatic opportunites for the site, opportunities, beneficiaries and partners that would be able to somehow help influence the site in a positive way. For example, after analyzing the site I focused on the audience as an area of opportunity, and found phenomelogical elements that uncounsiously influence the person, such as patterns, colors, smell, or movement.

PROJECT THREE Taxonomy of Emergent Spatial Types

In the thirs project we worked with the edge of the silverlake, the transition between land and water. We created a taxonomy of spatial conditions, these typologies were guided by rules that we created and by the use of actions to the land.

Rendered Aerial Section

This aerial section provides a better visual perspective of a section, where the viewer can see the section cutted and the deepnes of the transect.

Section A-A

Section cut that provides a better understanding of the contours elevations, giving a purpose for different elements in the landscape.

Cercis Occidentalis View

The Western redbud has a critical role in the design intent, influencing the human experience by the color and the ability to provide habitat for butterflies.

Water is critical for a human being, the interaction is enjoyable for kids and helps smoothing the transition between land and water.

Human Eye View

Positioning yourslef in the site gives a variety and more realistic visual experience to the human.

Butterfly Eye View

Animals have a critical influence in humans, nature is vital for the human specie to survive, learning how to coexist with nature is what the futures has for humans.

Textural Drawing

The transition between land, water, and human intervention is everywhere, the relation between these 3 would need to be pure for the human experience.

This fourth project required us to choreograph a set of assigned programmatic pieces. The finding of new opportunistic strategies more in detail and specific, and relating them to the assigned program performance. The ecological and cultural, unerstood and misunderstood formal and informal programs were utilized on this final phase. The structure of the project components as a visual expression are critical in the concept of the project. The opportunity that I focused on was the human experience, and how phenomelogical components of a site create magic in the space s such as pattern, repetition, color, m movement, shadow, light, etc.
