Connection to Surroundings
The courtyard and water installation open up to the southern side of the site. Allowing full access to the rest of the campus - and designed to draw interest to the entirety of the new construct.
The path opening to the south east creates a strong connection to the campus.
Movement connecting to outside environment draws the pathways that are off the site into the proposed conctruct.
The final design becomes a monument representing Kennesaw State University - Representative of the Flame - capable of different interpretations relating to education and the future.
Most importantly, the proposal gives the students and faculty a platform to connect and engage with one another.
