The system allows Johnson Controls to recover missing assets, reduce the number of replacement containers needed, and quickly count containers and racks. They were able to achieve a return on investment in under a year.

The Climate, Controls and Security (CCS) division of United Technologies Corp. provides heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration technology for residential housing. CCS’ Collierville, Tennessee facility uses RAIN RFID to track component assembly and shipment of finished goods in order to improve efficiency, safety and quality of their assembly line and shipping processes. RAIN RFID-tagged items are monitored throughout the assembly line and as they are transported out of the plant’s dock doors. The RAIN RFID system allowed CCS to increase productivity by 30 percent, reduce shipping errors by 80 to 90 percent, and improve worker safety.
