“The synchronicity of life is such a fascinating and wonderful thing. It was on this wave I happened upon Paul whilst queuing outside the paint shop - Lockdown 1.
I was embarking on renovations to my treatment room during the enforced break. Little did I know I was about to paint and draw again and renovate my Soul. I had the good fortune many years ago to do some live drawing classes with Paul, so when he told me he was teaching online I was curious how this could work. The rollercoaster of events that followed are too many to account. But we all have our stories to tell…don’t we.
It soon became apparent that the weekly anchor of the zoom group became essential connection I never thought could be so deep. The work we have done has helped me realise the benefits of change and the challenges of relinquishing control. The impermanence of everything has been explored through the relationship with the dense physical body whilst higher and lower aspects of myself have been brought into tangible focus.
I feel the online format has brought a freedom that actually wouldn’t have happened in the classroom- for me at least. The absence of my day job in the usual way has given an opportunity to make new connections within this new working environment. Paul’s sensitivity and knowledge like any great teacher, sees the individual and the group, and pitches in such a way that allows the unique relationship of the
artist to themselves to grow and expand, whilst learning about artists past and present. All with an ease and light-heartedness whatever the subject matter, making it accessible and conducive to development.”
