Each of the 2 existing “shot-gun” houses (a 2 story and a 1 story) were split, pulled and bridged to create 3 separate residences, 2 private courtyards, 3 live/work spaces, & a new community between the forms. This architectural response maintains both public & private while engaging both the front & back facades to meet the public.
