Paul Lawrence McGehee
Paul McGehee received his Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of City Planning degrees in 2014 from UC Berkeley. As an undergraduate fellow at the Howard University Center for Urban Progress Paul interned with Manna Inc., a non-profit housing developer, before earning a BA in Political Science. As a graduate student, he has focused his research in housing, critical planning, and site specific design. Motivating these academic pursuits is an interest in the relationship between inclusive planning and the design of community spaces. Paul is currently working on a thesis exploring memory and design in West Oakland, and is a participant of the Nairobi Planning Studio on informal housing. He has been invited to present such work as a participant of the Berkeley Circus Honors Design Awards in 2011, 2012, and 2014. Paul has interned with the Oakland Redevelopment Agency and with Hood Design in Oakland, CA.
