Restore previous versions of your documents

With Version history opened, you can view any previous document version, check that it’s the one you want and hit Restore. Saving the previous document version as the latest one, whilst maintaining a full history of all document changes. All done without the need to call IT Support.

See what’s changed

With a previous version of your document opened, simply hit Compare to view - what Revisions were made - where revisions are located in the document through Compared Document - what the content looks like in the Original Document (previous version) and the Revised Document (latest version).

Quickly restore your deleted documents and folders Restore your deleted documents and folders without the need to call IT Support. Deleted documents and folders remain in the Recycle bin for 90 days.

Viewing documents – Open in browser vs. Open in app With SharePoint, documents can be viewed in - Open in browser where the text and basic formatting can be viewed and quick edits can be made to sentences and paragraphs. But no headers and footers are displayed. - Open in app where full text and graphical content can be viewed, comprehensive updates can be made and all functions of the app in use are available. Follow SharePoint sites that you visit frequently to easily return to those sites when using different computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Overcoming the issue of your internet browser favourites or bookmarks only being accessible on the device where they are stored. You can find your list of sites you’re following in the SharePoint app. You can find more tips, tricks and quick wins on the Office 365 Learning and Support page. To do this, simply double click on the Office 365 desktop shortcut, log in and select the Queensland Government logo in the top left corner.
