Peter Morris Funeral Directors is a well established, family run independent funeral directors based in Mold, Flintshire, providing service to all surrounding areas. We offer a friendly, caring and professional service to you and your family during one of life’s most difficult times. We are able to help you discuss and explore all the possibilities to ensure your loved one has an individual funeral service. Funeral arrangements can be made here with us or in the comfort of your own home.
About Us
During my High School years I developed a keen interest for working in the funeral profession. Aged 14, I completed work experience at a local funeral directors and this heightened my ambition for following a career as a funeral director.
Peter Morris
On leaving school in 1994 I commenced employment with an independent family run funeral directors in Mold. The owner, Mr. Robin Hughes, encouraged and assisted me in my training as a funeral director. I worked for Mr. Robin Hughes for some years before he retired and sold his business to a National Company. However I wished to continue to be involved in an independently run business, so in September 2004, I opened my own independent family run funeral directors in Mold. Since opening, the business has grown from strength to strength. Before too long there was a need for clerical assistance and I was joined by Enid. Since Enid’s retirement, Karen joined us for a few years. Karen returned to the police force and we were blessed to have Veronica walk through our door and join our team. Along with my wife, Nevmah, and also Veronica’s commitment it is our utmost priority to offer a caring and supportive service to every family. Peter Morris Funeral Directors has gained a reputation for reliability, confidentiality and professionalism. I work closely with significant members of the local community, including members of the local church, community doctors and also nursing homes, hospitals, local police and town councillors to ensure that I am able to support every family and their individual needs to the highest level.

Memorials
Our family are monumental masons and we provide a full masonry service and have a large range of memorials made from the highest quality granites. We are on hand to offer advice and guidance when choosing a memorial tribute.

Peter Morris Funeral Directors is an independent family run business with many years’ experience within the funeral and monumental profession.
24 Hour Service
Our office is open 9.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. If you need us outside of our office hours, please call us on 01352 700142. You will speak directly with a member of our family if arrangements need to be made for a loved one. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss funeral arrangements or any other matter with which we may be able to assist you.
Funeral Plans Available
We regularly assist with prepaid funeral plans to help provide financial and practical help, which can be comforting and reassuring for your loved ones in the future.
At Peter Morris Funeral Directors we are dedicated to providing superior care and we have established our reputation by providing exceptional service at an affordable cost. Our business has been family owned and operated since 2004. We provide a dedicated service to local families and are very highly respected in Mold and surrounding areas. Whilst most of our work is local, we have arranged funerals as far afield as Portsmouth and Aberdeen. Our funeral home is a comfortable and traditional building, with a warm, friendly feel. We offer private visitation chapels, a visitor reception area and a private arrangement room. Each room in the funeral home has been designed with the intention of providing comfort and serenity to visiting families.

Funeral Services
We provide complete funeral services, including pre-arrangement planning. From your first contact with us we will be able to offer advice on the procedures that need to be followed in order to prepare for the funeral you want for your loved one. We will explain how to register the death and will make the appointments with the registrar. We will guide you through what happens if the coroner is involved and answer any questions you may have. We will guide you with your arrangements so that the cost will be within your means and that the service you plan will be meaningful. We appreciate that funeral needs have changed over the years and our dedicated team will guarantee you receive a compassionate service and provide an individual and dignified funeral for your loved one. We will give advice and help for as much or as little as you require regarding the responsibilities you would like us to take care of for the funeral arrangements. All funerals are different and we have an extensive selection of options to provide everyone with a special and unique funeral. These options can include: • Traditional Funeral – Burial or Cremation • Religious or Non- Religious Funeral • Green Burials • Home Burial Having made the arrangements you will receive an itemized written estimate and confirmation of all the arrangements. If it would be easier to meet with us at your home, or if a visit to you in the evening would be more convenient, we will be happy to arrange this for you.

Chapel Of Rest
Our private Chapels of Rest provide a peaceful setting should you wish to visit your loved one before the funeral service. Many families wish to provide own clothes in which to dress their loved ones, however, we can provide a gown if preferred. If you would like any personal items such as photos or letters placed in the coffin, then we can do this on your behalf or, if you prefer, you may do this yourself when visiting the Chapel. Visits to our Chapel of Rest can be made by appointment.
Funeral Cars
We are proud to offer our extensive fleet of Mercedes vehicles for hire. The fleet consists of a hearse, limousines and executive cars. The limousines will comfortably carry seven passengers and are fully air-conditioned. The executive car will comfortably carry four passengers if you prefer a smaller vehicle and again is fully air-conditioned. All vehicles are maintained to the highest quality to provide elegance to any funeral cortege. Should you wish for something more traditional we can also arrange for a horse drawn carriage. If something more individual is required, we can arrange for the use of a motorcycle hearse, classic and vintage vehicles or coloured modern fleets.

Standardised Price List
All funeral directors are legally required to publish this Price List for a standardised set of products and services. This is to help you think through your options and make choices, and to let you compare prices between different funeral directors (because prices can vary).
ATTENDED FUNERAL (funeral director’s charges only)
£ 1695.00
This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, event or service for the deceased person at the same time as they attend their burial or cremation. Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements

Collecting and transporting the deceased person from the place of death (normally within 15 miles of the funeral director’s premises) into the funeral director’s care

Care of the deceased person before the funeral in appropriate facilities. The deceased person will be kept at the funeral director’s premises.

Providing a suitable coffin - This is made from Oak Veneered

Viewing of the deceased person for family and friends, by appointment with the funeral director (where viewing is requested by the customer)

At a date and time you agree with the funeral director, taking the £ 425.00 deceased person direct to the agreed cemetery or crematorium (normally within 20 miles of the funeral director’s premises) in a hearse or other appropriate vehicle
