Wildscreen Festival, the world’s biggest international festival
celebrating and advancing storytelling about the natural world, is back in Bristol with a packed programme of amazing wildlife film and photography from across the globe!
With films including Jane - Brett Morgen’s intimate portrait of Jane Goodall – and a double bill of David Attenborough’s ocean epic, Blue Planet II, on the big screen, don’t miss out on some spectacular films this October. Other happenings include a FREE outdoor wildlife photography exhibition at College Green as well as talks from renowned film composer Hans Zimmer and award-winning conservation photographers, Peter Cairns and Laurent Geslin.

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS Outdoor Wildlife Photography Exhibition Sat 13 October – Wed 7 November College Green Shining a spotlight on globally important conservation issues and bringing world-class, inspiring photography to the city of Bristol, our open-air exhibition features large-scale images from the nominees of the first ever Animal Friends Photo Story Panda Award.
A Conversation with Hans Zimmer Monday 15 October, 17.00 Showcase Cinema de Lux Legendary film composer, Hans Zimmer, talks to celebrated broadcaster, Edith Bowman, in a rare interview about his fascination for nature and passion for storytelling through music.
Rewilding – A Visual Journey Thursday 18 October, 19.30 St George’s Bristol Explore the case for a wilder Europe through a stunning backdrop of beautiful wildlife imagery. Award-winning photographers, Peter Cairns and Laurent Geslin, will share their work and hopes for thriving wildlife and wild places. Supported by Nature Picture Library.
