Golfetto, Sangati, Berga: three companies that have found in a common mission, the know-how that has led them through the main steps of a joint path.

A PATH STARTED 90 YEARS AGO THAT TODAY FINDS ITS ULTIMATE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT WITHIN THE MARKETPLACE, BY BECOMING PART OF PAVAN GROUP. Golfetto Sangati was founded in 2010 when Pavan Group acquires the assets of GBS, a group built on the synergy of three companies with 90 years of qualified experience in the milling industry.

Through this acquisition Pavan Group completes its range of services, so offering integrated technologies and plants for the manufacturing of raw materials, from the ship unloading to the final packaging.

Manufacturing Units Today the Group can count on three manufacturing units. A new plant in Manfredonia was added on to the historical one of Berga in Quinto di Treviso, while for the Asiatic market, a manufacturing unit was opened in China in 2003.

HISTORY During the last century, the Group’s history developed itself following the interweaving stories of the three single companies. These paths have led to the current Golfetto Sangati, a company that represents the arrival point of this long journey that started in the Twenties.

the Seventies, a recognized leader in the engineering and building of mills, animal feed plants, cereal storage and handling for harbour terminals. The company expanded itself even more, with the opening of new branches in Europe and Northern Africa.

Golfetto, originally founded in Padua, specialized in the engineering of cereal manufacturing plants. Its foundation is the starting point from which all future events took place. It was followed by Sangati’s foundation, in 1929, a company that in just a few years became a renowned name in the milling industry.

Towards the end of the Eighties, Berga acquires Sangati.

It’s the beginning of a new process that will lead to a new generation of highly automated and computerized systems and machines. The technological prestige of the two milling schools merges into each other, giving a new impulse to the cereal transformation processes, which represents the peak expression of today’s milling industry. The final merge took place in 1997: Sangati Berga was born.

This is how GBS group S.p.A. was born, holder of the “Sangati Berga” and “Golfetto” brands: two product lines capable of satisfying even the most demanding requests coming from the marketplace, with technologically advanced and customized solutions.

In 2010 Pavan Group acquires the assets of GBS, giving birth to the current Golfetto Sangati.

Golfetto Sangati also contributes to the alternative energy field, with its ethanol fuel production plants, a type of fuel originated by the transformation of raw materials such as cereals, sugarcane and other biodegradable sources. WHAT WE DO MILLING PLANTS Golfetto Sangati develops and builds milling plants of all sizes and capacities for wheat, durum, maize and other cereals. Machinery and plants have in common many important characteristics.

Efficiency: flexible processing and milling diagrams, which can be easily adapted to the different raw materials and to the different quality standards required by each type of finished product.

Control: a simple and user-friendly interface allows to

increase productivity and to have better control over the plant’s activities. Furthermore, modular structures also allow subsequent extensions.

Hygiene and safety: top quality safety and hygiene standards are guaranteed by the project itself and its building materials, all complying with the most severe regulations.

RICE MILLING Golfetto Sangati is very active on the market with its new machineries entirely dedicated to the rice industry. Thanks

to their longtime experience in this field, the company’s engineering team has developed technologically advanced plants for the processing of rice, covering the whole process from the husking, polishing and whitening to the separation, selection and final packaging.

FEED MILLING The exploiting of the technological processes used in the human food industry has created a new generation of machines and plants for the production of feed for breeding animals and pets, such as concentrated nucleuses, premixtures, cubes, powder, extruded and flaked feeds.

The wide experience of the brand Berga allows the Group to be active in the animal feed manufacturing industry, developing and building specifically dedicated machines and plants. Golfetto Sangati technicians provide a highly professional consultancy service, allowing each client to optimize its own resources in terms of plants, manpower, energy and raw materials, thus obtaining certified quality products with higher revenues.

GRAIN HANDLING Golfetto Sangati has also developed advanced technologies for the washing, calibration, selection and storage of seeds.

This type of research has allowed the Company to become one of the leading players in the development of plants for the storage and dosing of coffee.

LOADING AND UNLOADING TERMINALS For over 25 years Sangati Berga products and solutions have been a point of reference for the development of complete ship loading and unloading systems for harbours.

They have led technological progress from the first pneumatic towers to the latest mechanical systems, never compromising on reliability and safety. Their wide range of loading and unloading towers uses the best building

solutions, offering fixed or mobile solutions, on wheels or tracks. Their handling capacity goes from 50 to 1000 t/h and is suitable for ships up to 100.000 tons.
