Hello! My name is Star and I am ready to be your BFF! I was hours away from being euthanized at an overcrowded shelter when The Unforgotten Souls rescue pulled me. Since then, I’ve been waiting to find my forever family. I would describe myself as a very good girlie. I’m low-maintenance, I love all the people and kids I’ve met, and I’m a bit of a snuggler (my foster mom says I’m a Grade A++ snuggler). They were looking for another cat who’d gotten out of his carrier at drop off but they got me instead. Since I was such a nice cat, the clinic neutered me and fostered me and has tried to find me a good home. Since I lived on the streets for some time, they do not recommend me in a home with other cats or small kids just yet. I was adopted for a very short time and did not do well with the resident cat. My rescuers believe that I will be a wonderful companion to someone who will be patient with me as I adjust to indoor life. I will BLOSSOM into the great pet I am meant to be. 4th Annual Pets in the Park
The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to host the 4th Annual Pets in the Park event scheduled for Saturday October 5, 2024, from 10am to 2pm at Carolina Beach Lake Park. All well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome. This family event will include an “Ask the Vet” tent, Pet-Centric Vendors and Services, Puppy Kissing Booth, CBPD K9 Demonstration, Dog Yoga, Pet Blessing, Dog and Cat Rescue Groups, Pet Costume Parade and Pet Tricks Contests, Face-Painting, Live Music, Professional Pet Photographer, Food Trucks, Beer and Wine Garden and more. This is a day of fun you don't want to miss!
