2023 MINI Resolute Edition

MINIS HAVE ALWAYS MADE AN INSTANT VISUAL STATEMENT with their unmistakable style. Small proportions and wide-eyed headlights communicate an eager energy—seemingly always ready for adventure. However, the 2023 Resolute Edition trades in some of that counterculture spunk for more traditional poise—and the results are stunning.

The dark Rebel Green exterior is deep and verdant. Brand-new Frozen Bronze trim replaces the typical chrome trim surrounding the grill, fender emblems and more as a more sustainable material; but with the added effect of subtle sophistication. The bespoke hood stripes featuring silver and gold gradients are the final touch helping to define the strong-willed nature promised by its name.

Inside, the light gold checker pattern over black leatherette continues the serious motif. Gloss pinstriping over a matte black dashboard offers panache without distraction. Convertible models will even allow fellow drivers an unencumbered glimpse of the avant-garde cockpit—if they can keep up, of course. The soft, Nappawrapped steering wheel begs to be gripped with both hands, and provides a direct reminder that the prolific MINI driving dynamics are still well within reach.

The Resolute Editions carry the same zippy powertrain options found throughout the range, with the John Cooper Works trim topping out with a turbocharged 228 horsepower engine. The all-electric SE makes use of a 181 horsepower motor which can be charged to 80% capacity in 40 minutes. Smartphone integration, ambient lighting, and a large 8.8inch touchscreen are all included.

Available on the convertible, SE, and 2-and 4-door Cooper models, the Resolute Edition is but one of the new Special Edition Lineup launched by the brand for the 2023 model year. Each provides an upgraded experience for MINI lovers, while still retaining all the aspects that make the diminutive runabouts so popular. Thus, no matter how one styles their MINI, there will forever remain the assurance that it is far more than just a pretty face.
