This past winter Club Braman members were graciously entertained by six talented local artists who brought their finest creations to our annual Bentley Arts Brunch. We also hosted a multitude of Club Braman events, including Casino Royale, Comedy Night, and Club Braman Rocks with The Beetlemaniax USA to name a few. Our Porsche showroom even hosted the Gulfstream Goodwill Industries VIP pre-party and several members met and dined with the President of Bentley Motors, Mr. Christophe Georges, during an intimate dinner and customer exchange on Palm Beach Island.

Of course, my favorite portion of our magazine is always dedicated to you, our beloved Club Braman members. This edition leads with polo champion Grant Ganzi gracing the cover with his living rendition of horsepower.

BEND THE KNEE

2024 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT

THE NEW KING of the supercar-impersonating SUVs hails once again from the world’s preeminent sports car brand. The 2024 iteration of the Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT is here; and unless its full name can be uttered in less than three seconds, the beastly brute has already gone— accelerating to 60 mph. While the more able-tongued may win that drag race, not much else on the road will.

Through its standard launch control, all 626 lb-ft of twin-turbocharged V8 torque stand at the ready to wage their war against asphalt. When given the command, the Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT conquers 30 mph in less than one second over only 18 feet of pavement. The 1/4 mile is dispatched in 11.2 seconds—besting the base 911 by half a second.

This is no one-trick warhorse, of course.

Porsche’s stamp is littered throughout the famed record books of the Nurburgring and the new Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT adds another as the quickest SUV to traverse the challenging track. Sporting a potent combination of all-wheel drive, torque vectoring, rear-wheel steering, PASM, ceramic brakes, an air suspension, and newlydeveloped Pirelli tires, the enormous SUV’s handling is undeniably more “sport” than “utility.”

That’s not to say the latter has been foregone altogether. The familiar sophisticated styling and smart ergonomics that have been the brand’s hallmarks for decades are present in spades. The redesigned front bumper features larger air intakes and is bookended by new Matrix LED headlights. Upon nuanced inspection, the aggressive fenders, new hood bulge, carbon fiber roof and rear diffuser, revised tail lights, and 22-inch Porsche Design wheels also reveal themselves. Two massive center-mounted exhaust tips provide the finishing touch.

Nearly everything inside the Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT, from the interior trim to the seatbelts, can be custom tailored to each owner. The curved 12.6-inch digital dashboard provides information to the driver, and blends seamlessly into the 12.3-inch center display. A new 10.9inch touch screen with streaming capabilities is dedicated to the front passenger. The gear selection toggle has migrated onto the dash freeing up space for the more userfriendly climate control panel.

The super SUV crown has returned to rest upon the Porsche crest. However, the 2024 Cayenne Coupe Turbo GT’s reign may not be long. A successor will soon arrive, unburdened from the influence of fossil fuel. This may very well be the last of an era—and should be heralded as such.

WORLD-CLASS WANDERLUST

TO PARAPHRASE MARK TWAIN, reports of the death of customer service are greatly exaggerated. First-class experiences are still readily found—whether at a luxury resort in an island paradise or one’s favorite local automotive dealership. While all Club Braman members know an elite experience is always a safe bet, for a lucky few it’s one that pays off more lavishly than their wildest dreams.

As a veteran of both brick and mortar retail and real estate, Susan Kaminsky knows that high-quality customer service is essential for a successful business. As such, she refuses to spend her hardearned dollars anywhere that doesn’t share that same emphasis. Naturally, this makes her a satisfied Braman MINI of Palm Beach customer and enthusiastic Club Braman member. She and her long-time partner Anthony attend Signature Events with gusto; particularly Casino Royale.

An admitted Blackjack lover, Susan bets big. Even among a rollicking table of raucous high-rollers, her corner of the table stands stacked with chips. Despite cashing in on rolls of raffle tickets during a recent event, Susan and Anthony found themselves missing on every prize presented. However, as the series of numbers were read aloud for the grand giveaway of the evening—a complimentary stay at the inimitable Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic—Susan noticed a pattern emerging from one particular clutch of coupons. She rifled through them as the call went out once…twice…

Suddenly, elation erupted; she’d found the winning ticket and rushed onstage to claim her trip.

What followed was some back-and-forth with the patient and sympathetic arrangements manager due to Susan’s at-times challenging schedule—but before they knew it, Susan and Anthony were departing on a trip of a lifetime. Upon arrival and throughout their sojourn, every wish was catered to; from skeet shooting lessons to a personal golf cart for transportation around the massive resort complex. Whether visiting the ancient ruins along the perimeter of the property or lounging on the white sand beach, they never found themselves wanting for a gourmet meal or heavenly beverage. A particular favorite was the local marina, which combined the best food, service, and atmosphere.

Every member of the staff was not only accommodating but a joy to interact with. Even a quick bout of rain couldn’t harsh the good vibes and detailed attention. An avid traveler, Susan admits the only other place she’d ever encountered such an experience was at none other than Braman Motorcars.

Despite his 6 foot-plus height, Anthony owned a MINI when the two first met. Susan quickly found that in addition to a surprising amount of practical space, the mighty MINI also offered exciting driving dynamics in spades.

She has since bought and leased several of her own—including her current gorgeous gray Countryman, “Sampson”—which she purchased a scant two hours after bringing in her prior model for service.

CHARGING INTO THE FUTURE

NO BRAND IS BETTER POSITIONED for the pivot to electrified urban transportation than MINI. Already beloved by owners for being attractive, quick, and efficient, the all-new 2025 MINI Cooper Electric recharges the ultimate city and suburban runabout with fun and practicality in equal measure.

As the BMW brand’s first attempt at an all-electric brand, the upcoming Cooper Electric promises to be even “more MINI than before.” It starts inside, as any and all horizontal screens have been jettisoned; only the iconic circular center cluster remains. However, it represents a major update as the first round OLED touchscreen ever fitted to a vehicle. A heads-up display works in conjunction to keep the driver apprised of essential information.

2025 MINI Cooper Electric: Preview

As the only touchpoint, the nearly frameless screen provides a suite of customizable options for the driving experience, starting with MINI Experiences—packages of interior lighting and themes ranging between Forest, Timeless, Vivid, Trail, Core, Green, and Go Kart.

The MINI Cooper Electric is fully 5G compatible and includes access to a digital app store consisting of streaming game, music, and video services. Third party apps can also be downloaded, and two virtual assistants can be chosen to aid in navigating the system. Owners can upload photos of themselves, families, pets, or car as screen backgrounds and the surrounding dashboard is available in leather or a brand-new knitted textile material.

Outside, there’s no mistaking the Cooper Electric as anything but a MINI; albeit one more wide and sporting than cute. Uprated wheels and tires provide a more aggressive stance and the overall design has been smoothed and modernized. The LED headlights feature customizable daytime lighting signatures, while the taillights are now flush with the body and also feature three stylistic options.

Powertrains will vary between models, from the base and SE through the performanceoriented John Cooper Works edition. Maximum driving range will likely come to 250 miles. Fast charging up to 95 kWh will be available. Both represent significant improvements over the previous generation.

While the future waits for no one, full details and pricing have yet to be released.

THOUGH THEY’RE LESS LIKELY TO ADMIT IT, the truth is many adults detest going to the dentist just as much as their children. The traditional dental office can be described as many things, but welcoming is hardly one of them; the sterile gray walls, intimidating instruments, and solemn shame of having to lie about the frequency of one’s flossing regimen all combine for a less than desirable experience.

2024 Bentley Flying Spur and Continental GT

ANY PROFESSIONAL AT THE HEIGHT OF THEIR INDUSTRY will attest that staying on top of one’s game is a constant struggle. The climb to the summit is difficult to be sure; but remaining there is just as onerous. As one of the world’s foremost luxury manufacturers, Bentley understands these inherent requirements and responsibilities. The Speed Edition 12 tops the Continental GT range and is available as a coupe or convertible. This limited-run spec serves as a celebratory curtain call of the iconic W12 engine.

The Flying Spur Speed package also features optional granite exterior trim. This provides a new yet no less aggressive look compared to the prior black-line finish. The gargantuan sedan envelopes its passengers in a quilted 3-dimensional diamond pattern throughout the leather upholstery.

The pinnacle of the lineup also makes use of the wonderful, though doomed 626-horsepower W12.

Finally, the Topaz Blue hue makes its debut among the available color palette; a shade which matches the crystal clear and inviting waters of the nearby Bahamas.

In total, the 2024 Flying Spur and Continental GT are more than the sum of their changes. Even amid the cutthroat luxury vehicle market, this is more than enough to carry the day.

THE NEAR PERFECT STORY

LIKE MANY BEFORE HIM, Roger Shorr’s greatest idea began with a beer. Rather than a half-baked idea which instantly wilted under more sober scrutiny however, the former financial advisor’s eureka moment would change his life. After enjoying a sip of his preferred brew following one of the rounds of golf he’d been enjoying in retirement, Roger paused and looked at the can in his hand. Alcohol had been a constant companion for the better part of five decades, but for reasons unknown to him, on this occasion a simple question arose: what was this beer doing for him?

The answer—precisely nothing—would soon kick off a journey of self-discovery and improvement; the results of which Roger could not resist himself from sharing. Down went the can of beer.

Another drop of alcohol would not pass his lips henceforward.

Several days later he was confronted by the same question in regards to his diet. His wife Jennifer is a marvelous cook and had always prepared excellent meals, yet he also made candy and overly processed foods his mainstays. Again, the same answer revealed itself. The pattern repeated once more when he analyzed his physical regimen. Roger found himself on a path seldom undertaken by those his age—eating better, incorporating more cardio, and building the body he’d long coveted.

Mirroring his former professional life, the investment paid dividends.

Within three months friends, family, and complete strangers began to compliment his progress unprompted. Roger had never been proud to wear a swimsuit, yet here in his late 60s he was enjoying the energy, self confidence, and looks of a man half his age.

It wasn’t perfect—but that was never the goal. With examination and modification of one’s mental and physical patterns around food and fitness, Roger believes anyone, no matter their current age or fitness level, can also achieve their own near-perfect body. Considering his masterful combining of brain and brawn, it’s no coincidence that Roger adores his Bentley Flying Spur. Bentley has long enjoyed its brutish yet luxurious reputation since the company’s inception, and the Flying Spur stands as the pinnacle of this marriage of power and pleasure. LEVELING THE LAWS OF NATURE

2024 LCI BMW X5M & X6M Competition

SOME ARGUE THAT THE BMW X5 —and its fraternal twin, the X6—are born from compromise. As large, practical Sports Activity Vehicles they are by no means sports cars; yet the BMW badges bestowed on their hoods demand a dynamic driving experience. Traditional comprehension of physics would proclaim that these two concepts cannot coexist. Thus, if one were attempting to upend the laws of nature, a half measure would not suffice.

This is why the mid-cycle update (LCI) of the range-topping X5M and X6M are now only offered as Competition models.

Gearing up for a war against gravity necessitated a more narrow focus, as well as a new V8 engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system—a first in any M-badged vehicle. Together, they deliver

a staggering 617 horsepower. Less a compromise and more a colossal combination, the instant torque of the battery and high RPM pull of the 8-cylinder produce the most compelling power unit currently offered by the marque.

The result is a whiplash-inducing run to 60 mph which renders entire volumes of scientific encyclopedias null in under four seconds.

Traction is managed through xDrive all-wheel drive, a rear Active M Differential, and an updated 8-speed Steptronic transmission. Dynamic Stability Control partners with customizable M Servotronic steering to provide unmatched accuracy, feedback, and confidence in any situation.

Numerous revised details both front and rear define the newer LCI X5M and X6M Competitions styling cues. A new kidney grill, front lip, enlarged air intakes and narrower headlights promote additional aerodynamic performance at speed.

The taillights present a prominent “X” motif and an aggressive bottom diffuser borders four ferocious exhaust outlets. Several new exterior colors are available, but both models are also available in BMW’s lauded Individual program which expands the palettes exponentially.

The introduction of BMW’s Curved Display ushers the interior into the future while simplifying the aesthetic. An updated operating system increases functionality and convenience while a customizable ambient light bar across the dash and optional extended Merino leather further escalate internal stylings.

The rules of the cosmos were officially rearranged this past March with the debut of the LCI X5M and X6M Competition models at the Amelia Island Concours. Both will begin production this Spring.

BRUNCH WITH A VIEW

THERE WAS NO BETTER WAY to start the new year than with the highly-anticipated return of Bentley Palm Beach’s Art Brunch. 130 Bentley owners and their guests were once again invited to enjoy high-end catering, exquisite works of art, and even meet the artists themselves within the sophisticated confines of the Bentley Palm Beach showroom.

Collections from six local artists adorned the walls and floors, framing several four-wheeled

pieces of art hailing directly from the Crewe, U.K. Bentley factory. Club Braman alum Laney Lewis of the Fine Arts Conservancy was also present, displaying her latest restored classic paintings.

The colorful abstract floral pieces of Carol Calicchio caught many an eye, as they not only stretched over traditional canvas, but composed onto large standing surfboards as well. Architect and designer Juan Bernal showcased his photorealistic works which

transport the viewer into the middle of the jungle or sunsetbathed beach. Impressionist Camilla Webster showed off a blue-tinged original featuring an instantly-recognizable Bentley Continental GT and sculptor Jane Manus displayed a half-dozen multicolored abstract pieces whose fitment seemingly defied gravity. Peter Hansen found his love for painting nature and capturing the interplay of light and landscapes as the son of a National Park ranger.

Finally, Haitian native and U.S. Air Force veteran Carl Craig was in attendance, sharing his unique and colorful interpretations of Haitian history and culture. A self-taught artist, Craig left a long career in financial markets to become an international consultant— integral in creating the famous Game of Peace two decades ago between the Haitian and Brazilian national soccer teams. Since finally turning to art, he has enjoyed international acclaim as one of

the best portrait artists of his generation. Craig’s art evokes passion and empathy through depictions of the complicated yet engrossing history of his homeland. Most recently, he has leant his deft skill to the covers of the historical fiction series Triumph to Tragedy—which details the international figures and events which laid the groundwork for the world’s first successful slave-led revolt, and corresponding Haitian Revolution.

More than an afternoon of shared camaraderie and refreshments, the event offered Club Braman members first-hand experiences with the artists behind South Florida’s thriving local culture. Ultimately, the opportunity to interact with gallery-caliber pieces and their creators in an intimate and casual setting was not unlike some of the featured art: priceless.

The John Cooper Works Trim gives the MINI Countryman S ALL4 an individual motorsport look with distinctive diffusers at the front and rear. In JCW Trim, the bright Chili Red color and the characteristic contrasting roof and high-gloss jet black side mirrors give the body a powerful appearance. In keeping with this, the MINI LED headlights with the selected JCW signature only show two horizontal stripes as daytime running lights and accentuate the minimalist design language.

HORSE EMPOWERED

CLUB BRAMAN MEMBERS ARE WELL ACQUAINTED with horsepower. Every press of the ignition is a handshake between the driver and hundreds of snarling steeds anxiously rumbling in their underwood stable. It’s a special partnership; a relationship as close as one can have with an inorganic object.

Still, this is a one-way street. The engine doesn’t have a mind of its own. It lacks needs, desires, and emotions. It can be turned off and ignored if ever not performing up to expectations. The bond one feels with those speedy yet artificial stallions can never come close to the real thing.

USPA North American Cup winner and parttime Lynn University MBA student Grant Ganzi knows the intricacies of both types of equine performance. He has mastered the determination and focus required to excel academically and athletically. While the typical Polo season spans January to April, Grant also participates in Summer and Fall leagues which ultimately demand up to eight months of his year. Time management has become a necessary skill—with Grant prioritizing the completion of his schoolwork prior to practices and competitions so his full attention can turn to establishing championship-caliber relationships with each of the dozen or so horses he will ride during a match.

Grant readily admits that when it comes to performance, his mount is more than half the equation. Each has a unique personality and set of strengths and weaknesses. Similar to his human teammates, they are not immune to good and bad days on the pitch. A successful team extends beyond the field of play, though. Training, feeding, and housing the horses requires an entire operation of animal lovers who toil far away from the glitz, glamor, and clinking champagne glasses of the grounds. It’s to them Grant also credits much of his success.

A NEW WORD

AIMEE LETTICH-PEARSON grew up under the shadow of a dream. Though born into a third-generation mining family in Colombia, it was always her mother’s wish to move the family to the United States. In 1994, Aimee made the bold decision not to join the family business, instead moving herself and her five-year old daughter to New York City determined to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by the U.S. and carve her own entrepreneurial path.

What would follow was an eclectic career across the fashion, beauty, construction, real estate, and green energy industries.

She found work in the garment district, a role which allowed her hands-on, real world experience. However, the desire to work only for herself was too powerful to ignore; she soon became an independent consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Aimee loved working directly with clients and sharing her lifelong passion for fashion and beauty and was soon on her way to Director status—complete with the iconic pink Cadillac—when a new opportunity presented itself.

The owner of her local salon was looking to sell the business. Without hesitation, Aimee signed the papers appointing her its new proprietor.

An immigrant and woman-owned business in a highend neighborhood was an uphill battle, but Aimee found the challenge of winning trust with her clientele to be invigorating. Gradually she established her brand

and gained a significant customer base. So successful was the venture that when the space next door became available she didn’t hesitate to take it over as well, and expand the salon. She planned on continued growth, but another new dream appeared on the horizon.

In 2010, a change in family circumstances saw Aimee take control of the mining business back in Colombia. It was a demanding role which forced the sale of the salon in order for Aimee to dedicate her entire focus to it. In the years since, she has steered the mines’ transition away from fossil fuels toward bio-carbon production. Today, the company stands as a market leader in green energy.

The new industry also resulted in the realization of a different kind of dream: meeting the man who would become her husband, Darren.

In their admittedly brief downtime together, the two would enjoy the original Dynasty TV series. Aimee fell in love with it as a child, enamored with the grand silk nightgowns that draped the glamorous characters. Unfortunately, when she attempted to find a similar ensemble her searches turned up empty. Ever the entrepreneur, Aimee identified a gap and decided she’d produce them herself. Feeling an obligation to give back to the country that had given her so much, she established an Atelier in Orlando with an all female staff. All she needed was a brand.

Traditionally-powered iterations rely on two turbocharged options; a 2.0-liter four-cylinder churning out 255 horsepower, and a 3.0-liter sixcylinder making 375-horsepower—an increase of 40 over its predecessor. Both also invoke the assistance of

BMW’s 48V mild hybrid technology and are available with xDrive.

Reinvigorated styling signifies the model’s continued maturity. The striking silhouette is augmented by a square jawed front fascia, sharp and stoic body lines, and pleasing proportions throughout a lengthened and widened chassis. The hood is more pronounced, and the sloping rear roofline resembles a fastback coupe more than a three-box sedan.

Should the system decide to overtake or change lanes, a simple glance at the corresponding rearview mirror confirms the action. When extra passing power is required, the left paddle on the 530i and 540i provides extra boost from the hybrid system.

Though more spacious than the outgoing model, the cockpit is designed around the driver, with a low yet commanding seating position. The asymmetrical dashboard is curved toward the operator and the paddle shifters and steering wheel stalks don’t interfere with each other.

Optional active roll stabilization trades stiff sway bars in favor of small electric motors at each corner. These provide tighter handling and more effective roll rejection in spirited

driving without the harsh ride inherent to physical bars. Those requiring more response can still opt for the optional M Sport package.

Order books are open now for all electric and fuel-powered 5 Series. Of course, details on the hotly-anticipated M5 version are expected soon; and if the initial models are an indication, it too will retake its crown as the preeminent family performer.

An offspring of the Region’s partnership with Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, the 2024 Gulfstream

featured multiple nights of sophisticated celebrations, auctions, entertainment, and some of the panel’s most unique and prized Porsche automobiles. GGI stands as Palm Beach County’s largest and foremost provider of shelters, employment, education, and aid to our community’s unhoused individuals; funds raised from the Gulfstream go directly toward the organization’s mission to provide safety and security through a ‘hand up, not a hand-out’.

Following last year’s incredibly successful inaugural event, 2024’s iteration welcomed more sponsors, auction donations, a larger venue, and the addition of an exclusive pre-party hosted in the Porsche West Palm Beach showroom.

Three weeks prior to the main event, 300 Club Braman members and their guests were invited to partake in multiple open bars, passed hors d’oeuvres and dessert selections provided by Gulfstream Goodwill Industries’ Good Grub food truck. Spanning the top level of the dealership was the exclusive Club 356. Here, VIPs could take advantage of top shelf alcohol and a commanding view of the night’s proceedings.

While the socializing between guests and representatives from GGI, Gulfstream Region PCA, and Porsche West Palm Beach amongst the finest sports cars currently on offer was a delight, the true draw of the evening was belied by the large stage adorned with colorful artworks and a single blank canvas. Live speed painting artist Michael Israel—famous for his energetic performances for celebrities and Fortune 500 corporate events—would soon take the stage to jump, twist, and hurl pigments across the canvas alongside a rousing rock soundtrack.

The man of the hour arrived on stage to thunderous applause and cheers. An electric buzz built as he began, rising to shouts and yelps, which encouraged an even wilder performance by the artist. His brush worked furiously while the canvas spun on its axis; the indiscriminate patterns soon formed meaningful shapes and the final image emerged: a starlit Statue of Liberty.

Next came the matte hood of a Porsche Cayenne which would be transformed into a priceless work to be auctioned off at the main event. This time, Michael created a massive Porsche crest, resplendent in red, black and gold. He added his trademark handprint signature to each, and with that the auction for the various displayed works kicked off.

The frenzied bidding went into the night, ultimately raising $60,000. The stage had been successfully set for the quickly-approaching 2024 Gulfstream.

The West Palm Beach Lake Pavilion was bathed in the crisp sunset hues of a perfect South Florida winter evening. More than three dozen prominent Porsches dotted the front lawn, their undulating curves glistening in the waning light. The anticipation in the air was tinged with a hint of gasoline.

Early arrivals to the second annual Gulfstream: Drive to Provide were greeted by an open bar and treats hand-served by students of GGI’s Career Academy. With their favorite beverage in hand, attendees strolled among the mix of racing and road cars, surreptitiously voting for their favorites across several car show categories.

Soon the doors to the glass-walled pavilion opened—concluding the outdoor cocktail hour and signaling the beginning of the event’s silent auction amid more refreshments and desserts. Items ranging from sports memorabilia to vacation getaways and high-end vehicle storage and care packages were available for bidding. The main stage was once again lined with fresh works from Michael Israel and another blank canvas stood patiently.

Opening remarks were given by GGI, Gulfstream Region PCA, and Porsche West Palm Beach, and shortly afterward Michael again launched into one of his trademark performances. Though some of the crowd had received a tantalizing taste from the pre-party, none were prepared for what would emerge from the artist’s mind on this night. Symbolizing GGI’s goal to triumph over homelessness, the iconic snapshot of Ali standing over Frazier was completed to a raucous ovation.

Once again a live auction followed, this time featuring the inimitable Cayenne hood, and several more attendees happily took home examples of Michael’s brilliance.

With the winners of the car show categories properly recognized and presented their trophies, a satisfied crowd slowly made their way toward the exits; the 2024 Gulfstream had drawn to a close. In totality, the event secured in excess of $190,000 for GGI’s initiatives which will help countless less fortunate citizens receive protection from the elements and gain the tools necessary to reenter the local workforce.

As beautiful as the art—and Porsches—were, for the partnering organizations behind the Gulfstream, nothing can come close to the smiles of a man, woman, or child who has been granted the security of shelter in their lowest moment. So beloved for her enthusiastic presentations, MaryAnn is casually known as the “lady with all the decorations on her desk” or the “Orchid lady”, as the bright, beautiful plants are mainstays throughout the year.

The tradition was born nearly two decades ago. Her two daughters had flown the coop—taking with them the yearly ritual of decorating the house. Hoping to hang on to the happiness the holidays foster in her heart, MaryAnn began bringing the ornaments and embellishments into work and displaying them on her desk. After all, she spent much of her day in the office— why not have a little fun? However, she never expected the enormous reception she would receive from her co-workers and Braman Motorcars customers. It was a win-win; not only for MaryAnn, but for all with a love for the holidays.

What started as a small personal celebration quickly blossomed; decorations began to appear for Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and Easter. Today she still fields questions about which holiday she’ll add next.

Of course, her favorite is Christmas. Here, she presents bottles ranging from $10 to $1,000+ during weekly themed class sessions or private group events. Home visits are even offered by either Virginia or one of her staff sommeliers. A (NOT SO) HARD DAY’S NIGHT

THOUGH THE MOST RECENT Club Braman Rocks Signature Event didn’t happen yesterday, troubles are always far away for Club Braman members looking to enjoy live music and libations! 350 invitees kicked off the month of February by flocking to the Cox Science Amphitheater at the Fisher Family Science Trail. A warm Florida winter night under the stars awaited them—as well as their favorite classics from the “British Invasion” pop music era.

Upon arrival, guests made their way through the main exhibition hall. This particular evening provided in-depth displays chronicling the ill-fated cruise of the Titanic ocean liner. Passing through the photographs and details associated with one of history’s most notorious events led visitors out to the back lawn, where a decidedly more fun activity awaited: mini golf.

The 18-hole Conservation Course designed by Jim Fazio and Gary Nicklaus has been tagged as one of the top 13 in the country by the Travel Channel.

Each hole is named for a species indigenous to Florida, further emphasizing the Cox Science Center’s commitment to education in an entertaining environment.

Of course, those members not interested in hitting the links also found an open bar featuring wine, beer, and soft drinks as well as the TMI food truck.

Right on cue at 7:30 the festivities kicked into high gear as The Beatlemaniax USA kicked off a rollicking 90-minute concert featuring the biggest hits from everyone’s favorite floppy-haired imports, The Beatles. Regarded as one of the most authentic tribute shows around, The Beatlemaniax USA perform a range of hits spanning from the group’s touring and studio years without the assistance of pre-recorded tracks. Despite the thoroughly modern surroundings, the night offered Club Braman members a unique opportunity to come together, twist and shout, and take a step back in time to revel in the sights and sounds of the swingin’ 60s.
