CURATED EXPERIENCE

Seafood

SHOW Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Fort Lauderdale’s booming culinary scene? Now you can with a visit to Burlock Coast to enjoy its new nightly pop-up, The Cove: A Pop-Up Seafood Experience. The night unfolds in the restaurant’s Rum Room, an intimate nook that can seat a party of 10, replete with nautical furnishings and wraparound shelving holding dozens of rums. Unlimited bubbly and beer will be pouring while a threecourse bottomless seafood dinner ($99 per person) curated by executive chef Paula DaSilva and chef de cuisine Brooke Mallory is served. Sample from a raw bar of fresh oysters, jumbo cocktail shrimp, fresh tuna poke, and fish dip in addition to toasted breads and tostones. From there, individual dishes prepared with fresh local catches and shared sides steal the spotlight. Think: seared red snapper, whole fried branzino, and seared scallops paired with risotto and spinach gnocchi. Save room for a decadent dessert surprise from the restaurant’s new pastry chef, Christian Velez—a past visit included a chocolate mousse with coffee espuma and ganache. (ritzcarlton.com)
