Must-visit vendors at this year’s Delray Affair include The Dudes Pant Planters (above), Blue Island Graphics (top right), and Bitti Bots (lower right).
It’s hard to resist a planter with pants on, which is why The Dudes Pant Planters have been popular take-home items since the artists first started creating them after finding it hard to part with their sons’ baby clothes. Made from wood and recycled kids’ clothing and shoes, these happy home goods will bring a childlike joy to any desk or windowsill. (thedudespantplanters.com) The Delray Affair has fodder for foodies, too. Fire Hiney’s chocolate hot sauce will kick any ice cream sundae up a few notches, but there’s also hot honey and plain old hot sauce if you want to keep the heat out of your chocolate treat. Founder Carole Chapuis is a passionate animal activist, and proceeds from her sauce sales benefit animal rescue organizations and animal welfare education. (firehiney.com) Don’t leave the Delray Affair without stopping by the merch booth hosted by LaCrosse Wear, where you can shop an assortment of shirts, towels, and posters—featuring art by Sarah Huang, who will also have her own booth—commemorating this milestone year. (lacrossewear.com) Florida’s never been hotter, but Mike Williams has long held the state as his muse. Creating under the banner of Blue Island Graphics, Williams designs vintage map art focused on Florida and the Caribbean. His de-
1tailed depictions of days gone by blur the line between daydream and reality, setting his art apart in a category of its own. (blueislandgraphics.com) For those who love to tinker, Cheri Kudja’s found-object robots known as Bitti Bots are a fun collectible—the artist breathes new life into automobile, hardware, and jewelry scraps and turns them into happily jumbled little characters. Best of all, each one-of-a-kind robot is made of 95 percent upcycled materials. (bittibots.com)

RETAIL POPPING into Palm Beach
WHY TRAVEL FOR FASHION WHEN THE WORLD WILL COME TO YOU? SHOP IN-TOWN POP-UPS FROM NEW-AND-NOW BRANDS.
LAFAYETTE 148: Like all things New York, the brand Lafayette 148 has a southern sojourn on the agenda. On May 2 and 3, The Colony Hotel will host a pop-up with this season’s runway looks by creative director Emily Smith and the brand’s ethically sourced swimwear collection, which launched in February. L148 Swim consists of one- and two-piece swimsuits made from Econyl, a 100 percent regenerated nylon yarn developed from reclaimed ocean plastics and other pre- and post-industrial waste. “The women of Palm Beach are colorful, chic, and international—they know how to mix heritage with the now,” says Smith. “For me, that attitude is very similar to the essence of the new L148 Swim collection—the suits are pared back but bold.” Beyond the pop-up, both collections are also available online. (lafayette148ny.com) ANATOMIE: Before you jet off on your next adventure, shop luxe travel wear by Anatomie at 118 North County Road. “Anatomie, being based in Miami, views Palm Beach as a near second home,” says Kate Boyer, Anatomie’s co-founder and CEO. “The tight-knit community and steady stream of visitors from around the world truly encapsulates our ‘Designed to Fly’ motto focused on luxury comfort and elevated modern leisure.” The brand has been carried in several private clubs, golf shops, and boutiques in the area, and the pop-up will be open through June, with the potential to become a permanent location.
