President's Message friends Sharon and Eugene O’Dunne. I am happy to report that our current Concours Co-Chair Donna Brandt volunteered to be your new Social Chair. So please extend a warm thank you to Donna when you see at our next Social on May 24th, and especially thank her husband Warren for his efforts in assisting Donna to bring us those great dining destinations.

On April 7th Lynda Sobus, Vice President, and I attended the Spring Zone 2 President’s Meeting chaired by Rose Ann Novotnak, your new Zone 2 Administrator. All ten Zone 2 Region Presidents met to discuss various Zone 2 business items, including a busy Agenda that started with Caren Cooper, PCA National President providing us with a detailed presentation of PCA’s Vision 2020. In addition to Caren Cooper, our own Manny Alban gave us all an overview of PCA’s involvement in the upcoming Rennsport Reunion. Manny is our PCA Rennsport Reunion Chair. What a thrill and honor to have two PCA Presidents, one current and one past attend our Zone 2 President’s Meeting. We say many thanks to Caren and Manny for their efforts in making PCA better for all of us in Chesapeake and the other 143 PCA Regions.

Did you attend the April 7th Autocross Driver’s Instruction Course at Porsche of Annapolis? Although I couldn’t attend, the Autocross team informed me that they had a great session of both classroom and course training. Heartfelt thanks to Pat Walker, Ryan Golom and our newest Autocross Co-Chair, Brad Martinez for their joint efforts. Brad is the newest member of the Autocross team. So thank you Brad for volunteering for this important Autocross position, and we also welcome you to the Chesapeake Region Board of Directors. You may recall our original March 20th Social date was “snowed out”, which required us to reschedule the Anniversary Social to April 17th, but at the same restaurant, Houlihan’s. Were you one of the 48 attendees at the April 17th Social? What a turn out! We had several new members attend along with “veteran” club members. I recall asking if everyone was having a good time and if the food was good? What I received was a resounding yes! Let’s continue the good times by coming out to the May 24th Social and say hello to your new Social Chair, Donna Brandt and share the friendship with your fellow Chesapeake members.

In last month’s Message, I indicated we needed a new Social Chair to take the place of our departing

Chesapeake Region

President's Message Four days later on April 21st we gathered for breakfast at New Freedom Restaurant and Coffee Shop prior to the drive north to Hershey Park for the Porsche Only Swap Meet! Although the day started off cold, it was not long before the sun warmed the day and all of the vendors and attendees. As it may have been a bit chilly, it remained sunny and there was no rain in sight, as has happened in the past. Did you snag a gem of a deal for your personal coach, or just pick up some needed car cleaning supplies? I know a couple of Chesapeake members who did not go home empty handed – Bob Zack won 1st place in his class and, most importantly, won “Best In Show” with his 1968, 911 L!

(Photos by Aniano Arao) Not only did Bob win a trophy, but Jennifer and Stan Kulula won 2nd Place in their Class with their 2015 GT3! Congratulations to them and to all our Chesapeake members, as they are all winners in my mind. So no matter what you took home that day, I am sure it included a great time with good friends. Please let us know if you attended the April 25th to April 28th Treffen Santa Ana, in Pueblo, NM? If so, we want to hear from you and learn about your experience. So please send us your thoughts and photos to our Patter Editors Ron and Al at editor@pcachs.org for inclusion in the Patter.

President's Message Our first Autocross timed driving session took place on April 28th at our new venue, Lincoln Technical, Columbia, MD. Everyone was excited to drive the new Autocross venue and we are looking forward to the 2nd Autocross event on May 12th and the subsequent driving sessions at Lincoln Tech! Again, we tip our hats to Pat Walker, Ryan Golom and Brad Martinez for their hard work in securing the new Autocross site and having established a first-class Autocross series of events.

session, we will again have a fun day with plenty of rubber laid down at our new Autocross venue at Lincoln Tech in Columbia, Maryland.

Our May events are no less exciting than April’s. Let’s start off talking about the April 6th, 35th Deutsche Marque Concours d’Elegance at Nottoway Park in Vienna, VA. This is a combined PCA Potomac, BMW and Mercedes clubs of D.C. event where the best and finest late model and classic cars are displayed for awards. For additional information, please use the following URL: http:// www.dmconcours.com/.

Thursday, April 24th is our next Social event Chaired by your new Social Chair, Donna Brandt. Donna is planning your Social for Baroak in Annapolis, so please watch your email account for an e-Blast from Minta Miller with all of the detail information, but typically we gather at 6:00 pm.

Up next is the May 12th “Garage Crawl and Tour”. Due to parking limitations at each of the three private residences, a maximum cap of 60 participants was established. The event “sold out” in 9 minutes from going live on Sunday, April 22nd! WOW! And, there is a waiting list of an additional 29 people who want to participant. What do we do? Your smart and talented Tour Co-Chair, Aniano Arao, came up with the idea to ask registrants who are driving alone to carry a passenger from the waiting list. So far it is working, but unfortunately all 29 individuals cannot be accommodated, but maybe the first ten will. How exciting an event where all available slots were gone in under ten minutes! On the same day as the Garage Crawl and Tour, April 12th, we also have our 2nd Autocross driving event. If the second Autocross is as good as last month’s first

On Wednesday evening, May 16th, will be our second Board Meeting of 2018. Please remember, all members are welcomed to attend, in fact, we encourage members to attend and see and learn how the workings of the Chesapeake Region conducts its business in planning each and every event.

We have another driving Tour scheduled for May 26th where the details will be follow in an e-Blast from Minta. At this time I do not have any additional information to pass along about this Tour, but I am sure it will be a memorable event. As always, I am interested in hearing and receiving feedback from our members, especially new event ideas. So think about events and outings that we don’t currently offer and send me your ideas. I will share each idea with the Executive Committee for their review and feedback. So, let’s keep in touch and email me at president@pcachs.org. I look forward to seeing you on the road real soon!

Have fun and Drive Safely! Michael *** 11

Ron’s Ramblings would be true for a lot of folks as well who are looking at new Porsches - so fingers crossed. I did another Summit Point Friday at the Track (FATT) this month in P BXSTR on their Shenandoah Circuit which is their “technical” course with over 20 turns and limited straights. I’ve never done this course before and I was completely overwhelmed and struggled in my first session to the point where I was sweating and getting queasy. The next session went a little better as I started learning the track a hair but I was still passed a couple of times.

what – and I did. Even my instructor (who also drove a gray 981 Boxster S) got excited and was pushing me to keep up as he realized that I was. We were definitely flying and no one caught us or even got close. Afterwards I went over and talked to the other driver and thanked him for motivating me to really push it and keep up with him. He also thanked me for motivating him to step it up because he didn’t want anyone to pass his GT3. Bottom line, a day that started out shaky had a sweet finish. For those who went, it turned out to be a great day on the 21st for the Porsche-only Swap Meet at Hershey Park. Perfect temperatures and NO RAIN. Predictably it was packed and even though I got there around 9:30, I almost didn’t find a parking spot in the main section. For that matter, I felt lucky to actually get there because I83 is one continuous pot hole all the way from the PA line to Harrisburg. Seriously, the road sucks and yet I doubt they ever do any maintenance on it. On a positive note though, kudos to our own Bob Zach for First in Class and Best of Show in the Concourse!!!

Spring is here!

In my final session, I got passed by a white Porsche GT3 on my second lap and decided that I was just going to go all out and keep up with him no matter 13

Engine Build—Part 2 Sometimes the best laid plans go awry. In my last article I detailed the trials and tribulations in buying an engine 2000 miles away, flying out to rebuild it, and then shipping it home. It was a great experience and a very fun “working” vacation. It took about two weeks, but I received a call on a Friday afternoon in March letting me know I could pick up my engine as early as Monday. With the new engine in-hand, it was time to plan the engine swap.

Unfortunately, this meant I had to improvise when it came to adapting S2 parts to the earlier chassis. Case in point, the S2’s air box is located under the header panel between the headlights which is “dead space” on the earlier cars. As we later discovered, the chassis is slightly different on the S2 to allow the intake piping to pass through to the header panel. My long suffering wife, Minta, made short work of the offending bodywork, carefully grinding the chassis panel to match the contours of the S2 body. Not to give up easily, the fiberglass European bumper required notching for the air box and the header mounting tabs needed trimming as well. Fully committed now to our conversion, Minta cautiously made all of the modifications necessary to get the air box mounted. What is the benefit to having a factory air box where one didn’t exist before? Simply put, all of the effort means I can purchase a replacement air filter for (hopefully) decades to come instead of a “custom” solution.

I’m lucky enough to have a friend with a large shop, a two post lift and quality tools. We set the date for the first weekend in April and I brought over boxes full of parts to go with the new engine. Having spent over a decade and a half wrenching on 944 variants, I knew the major movements would be straightforward but the minor details were still a bit of a mystery. I had resolved to maintain as much commonality with the Porsche PET to make future maintenance easier. 15

Chesapeake Region

Engine Build—Part 2 Removing the front suspension isn’t strictly required but we had additional goals with the project. I purchased and refurbished a set of Brembo calipers from a 944 S2 to upgrade our braking capability to match the new engine’s power. Swapping the engine from 2.5L to 3.0L went quickly with an engine hoist and we reinstalled the engine with little fanfare. Naturally, there were those small steps which should have taken minutes and stretched into far, far too long. Looking at you, steering rack and shaft. For those who are unfamiliar with Porsche’s Transaxle cars, the engine is in the front, connected to a rear mounted transmission and differential by a rigid driveshaft. The overall package makes for a very secure driveline but it wasn’t until the 968 made its way to market Porsche finally designed a bellhousing which allowed a clutch change without removing the transmission or engine. Since we had a slight leak from our transmission input shaft seal, removing the transmission was a must. With the transaxle out, removing the torque tube allows the engine to drop without removing the radiator and most of the front bodywork. Does it sound like a lot of work, because it is! We dispatched with removing the transmission, torque tube, and engine with the front suspension attached in record time, approximately six hours.

16

With the new engine mounted in the chassis, we took the time to carefully route all of the electrical and vacuum lines into a tidy routing. Over time, the special Porsche firewall zipties which hold nearly everything in place break and our little car was no different. At about $1 apiece from Porsche, it was an expensive proposition but absolutely worth it to clean up the firewall.

Chesapeake Region

Engine Build—Part 2 We installed the new brake calipers, added fresh Pentosin DOT4 fluid and set about bleeding the system with the truly excellent Motive Power Bleeder. With all of the air removed, a quick pedal test indicated there was a problem as the pedal slowly drifted to the floor and stayed there. A quick inspection of the calipers showed we had a leaking piston on one of the front calipers. We removed the caliper and piston, noting the seal had somehow rolled over during piston installation and gotten damaged. I replaced the seal, reinstalled the caliper, re-bled the system and almost screamed when the same piston continued to leak. Feeling defeated, our friend Doug located a spare caliper in his large collection of Porsche parts and got the brake system functioning properly. Finally, it was time for the main act of starting our new engine. We verified our oil and coolant levels, hooked up the battery and crossed our fingers as we cranked the motor with the ignition coil disconnected. We’ve rebuilt a number of 944 engines over the years and it’s always an effort to build oil pressure on a fresh motor. The easiest way to get oil pressure is to remove the oil filter and crank the motor until oil pressure over 1 bar shows on the dash gauge. Following our own advice, we cranked the motor over and immediately noticed a very unnatural sound. Best described as “metal-on-metal” with a cadence matching the rotation speed of the crankshaft. Suspecting the potential of a bad bearing on our used alternator or AC compressor, we disconnected the belts to no avail. Seeking to eliminate variables, we removed the balance shaft belt which met with the same results. Now, more than slightly concerned, we studiously went over the motor with a mechanic’s stethoscope to isolate the origin of the

noise. My heart sank when it was deafening at the oil pan, directly under the #2 rod bearing. Dejected, we were left with only one course of action. We removed the engine, returned it to an engine stand and as of this writing, that’s where she sits waiting to be diagnosed.

Editor’s note: Buy this next time Less maintenance!

Porsche Preview at NY Auto Show By Aniano Arao

On March 30, the day the 2018 New York International Auto Show was opened to the public, Porsche Cars North America entertained 200 Porsche Club of America members at an invitation-only preview of the Porsche exhibit. We were ushered into the show a little after 8:00 a.m., nearly 2 hours before the general public was allowed to enter. Porsche provided breakfast for the PCA members at the North American premiere of a new product: the 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.2). Also featured at the show were the 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne and the 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo. The other 2018 Porsches shown were a 718 Cayman, a 718 Boxster GTS, a Macan GTS and a Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. As part of its celebration of Porsche’s 70th anniversary as a car manufacturer, PCNA unveiled a one-owner 1963 Porsche 356B Cabriolet restored by Porsche Classic at the company’s North American headquarters in Atlanta.

Garage Crawl May 12, 2018

Randy Richter

Have you been waiting for another garage crawl? Well, your wait is over!! Thanks to the kindness of three members we will have another garage crawl on May 12th. We will visit three garages in the Owings Mills area and then have a short tour to a restaurant for lunch. What will we see…….well you will just need to come out and find out. In the past we have seen barns that are now fabulous garages, we have seen garages that maximize space, we have seen new garages, we have seen garages that remind you of Grandpa’s workshop, we have seen garages that are for show, we have seen garages that are working environments and we have seen garages that are museums. We have learned that owners were Olympic coaches, had a misspent youth working on NASCAR and NHRA machinery, that they loved horses or boating and have some wonderful collections of memorabilia. So hold the date open and be sure to register early as this will be sure to be a sellout! See the next page for more details! We hope to see you there! Registration will open on April 16th at clubregistration.net.

Garage Crawl Tour — Aniano GARAGE CRAWL IN BALTIMORE COUNTY PCA-CHS 2018 Tech Event and Tour & Rally Event No. 3 – May 12, Sat., 8:30 AM This garage crawl is primarily a Tech Committee undertaking, supported by the Tour & Rally Committee. A limited-capacity event, it was SOLD OUT in 9 minutes. In fact, only one spot (for 1 car and 2 people) remained available after the first 4 minutes. About 26 hours after the start of registration on April 22nd, the waiting list was closed when a total of 19 cars and 29 people got on it. A determination was made that it was unlikely there would be enough cancellations to accommodate more than 10 of those people. So letting the waiting list grow further would have been pointless. Thanks to the kindness of three PCA Chesapeake members, we will have our first garage crawl this year on May 12th. We will visit their garages in the Owings Mills area and then have an hour-long driving tour to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. What will we see? In the past, we saw barns that are now fabulous garages. We saw garages that maximize space, we saw new garages, we saw garages that remind you of Grandpa’s workshop, we saw garages that are for show, we saw garages that are working environments, and we saw garages that are museums. We learned that the owners were Olympic coaches, had a misspent youth working on NASCAR and NHRA machinery, love horses or boating, and have some wonderful collections of memorabilia. GATHERING PLACE We will gather at 8:00 AM along Owings Mills Blvd. The exact address will be sent to registrants via e-mail by May 10th. There will be a drivers’ meeting at 8:30 AM. Our visit to the first garage will start at 8:45 AM. We will then visit two more garages nearby. LUNCH A scenic driving tour to Manor Tavern in Monkton will follow the garage visits. Our a la carte lunch there will start at 12:30 PM. REGISTRATION Registration for this garage crawl opened at www.clubregistration.net on April 22nd (at 11:59 AM) and was sold out in 9 minutes. Registration for the waiting list was closed about 26 hours later. This event is limited to 60 people and 30 cars, not counting the organizers and their cars. Lunch is limited to 40 people. Drivers’ meeting notes will be sent by May 10th to registrants via e-mail. QUESTIONS Send garage-related questions to tech@pcachs.org. Send questions about the driving tour and lunch to tour@pcachs.org. Please put these words in the subject field: “NW Garage Crawl.” Route details will be given during the drivers’ meeting on May 12th.

West Virginia Grand Tour PCA-CHS 2018 Tour & Rally Event No. 5 – June 1 to 3 Last year’s West Virginia Grand Tour won rave reviews from PCA members who took part. This year, those joining the second edition of the Tour & Rally Committee’s premier event will have even more fun. During this tour’s first day, we will drive on twisty and scenic back roads through Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, and Washington counties as we head toward West Virginia, where delightful back roads and fabulous mountain roads await us. We will stop for lunch at Tari’s Café in Berkeley Springs. Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV, will once again be our home base. We will spend two nights at this AAA 4Diamond venue, as we enjoy three days of driving on spectacular Porsche roads. On the grand tour’s second day, we will visit the awesome 1,700-foot-long New River Gorge Bridge just north of Fayetteville, WV. The National Park Service says it is the longest steel span in the western hemisphere and the third highest in the United States. Wikipedia says it was for many years the world's longest single-span arch bridge; it is now the fourth longest. At 876 feet above the New River, it is nearly as high up as the Eiffel Tower. On the third and final day, we will have lunch at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, after which we will take a guided tour of this 240-year-old resort’s famous nuclear war bunker.

Gimmick Rally! MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND RALLY PCA-CHS 2018 Tour & Rally Event No. 4 – May 26 Join this Howard County gimmick rally to get ready for the Porsche Parade and Chesapeake Challenge rallies. If you do well in this contest, you should be all set for those big events. Our “Memorial Day Weekend Gimmick Rally” will be nearly identical to the rally created by PCA member Jim Kinnear in 2012 for the Free State Corvette Club and PCA Potomac. Six years ago, that event pitted Corvettes against Porsches and other sports cars. Jim kindly offered it to us last year. We tested and liked it, so now his rally is on our 2018 schedule. On May 26, Jim will serve as our guest rally master. Rally veterans will find this contest challenging and satisfying. It will require skill and concentration. But it will not be intimidating to novices. Instead, they will find it an enjoyable learning experience. We believe it will get them hooked on gimmick rallies. So, if you are free on May 26 and want to have some fun, join us. Drivers and navigators who finish in the top 3 spots will be awarded trophies and bragging rights. GATHERING PLACE ReMax Advantage Realty parking lot, 6021 University Blvd., Ellicott City, MD 21043 REGISTRATION Register for the “Memorial Day Weekend Gimmick Rally” at www.clubregistration.net from noon on April 30 through 11:59 PM on May 20, Eastern time. Autocross School Autocross School – Saturday April 7th, 2018 A cold start to our performance driving season! Our yearly autocross schedule always begins with an introductory course on the basics of performance driving. Porsche of Annapolis is the official sponsor of our program for the second year in a row and they graciously hosted our participants on Saturday morning. Roughly twenty newcomers and seven instructors met at the dealership for a two hour classroom session catered with delicious food and hot coffee. Ryan Golom delivered material on typical autocross daily schedules, driver ergonomics, vehicle dynamics, and autocross-specific rules. Once the talking was over, it was time to drive! Pat Walker, new autocross co-chair Brad Martinez, and the rest of our instructor corps met at our new autocross location (Lincoln Technical Institute) during the classroom session and prepared the lot with over 100 cones. It was a balmy 48 degrees when they initially arrived, but the temperature actually dropped to 40 degrees when the driving was about to start! With a dedicated instructor in each car, our participants were able to practice emergency braking, slalomstyle handling, and skid pad exercises focusing on slide control & recovery. After everyone had a good handle on the exercises, we set up an actual autocross course and gave all our participants multiple laps with our instructors riding shotgun. Virginia Ricketts was the first participant EVER to drive a Macan with CHS! We’ve had multiple Cayennes over the years and now we need to get more of Porsche’s SUV family out on the course! Jim Foley braved the weather with his 1971 Porsche 914 and even took the top off for the driving portion! Sure it was cold, but it was totally worth the experience! If you missed this event, you are more than welcome to drive with us at any future autocross event. We provide instructors at no cost and no penalty, so you still have plenty of chances to learn about autocross this year. We also provide loaner helmets along with brand new head socks (which you get to keep) so you don’t have to share sweat. Thank you to all our instructors and participants. Although it was the coldest day of autocross in anyone’s memory, the people truly made this an event to remember. 27

Autocross Update Autocross #1 – Saturday April 14th, 2018 Over forty degrees warmer than the week before! The first competitive autocross event of the year was greeted by summer weather in the middle of April. This was a welcomed relief from the rather cold day we experienced a week earlier during the autocross school. We wound up with 55 drivers at our new location and the event ran incredibly smoothly thanks to all of our volunteers and the tireless efforts of our autocross co-chair, Pat Walker. The parking lot at Lincoln Technical Institute was freshly paved last year and cars with stiff suspensions were reaping the benefits of a well-prepared driving surface. Fastest time of the day (FTD) went to David Critcher in his 1996 Porsche 993 with a time of 33.597 seconds. Our next two fastest Porsche drivers were Lee Rock in his 1997 993 and Brad Martinez in the family’s 2003 C4S. The largest class battle of the day was in S3 (most Caymans & Boxters, year 2000-ish 911s) and the winner was Yaroslav Burmaka. Special shout-out to Chris Mason – he’s the first person to drive a GT3RS in one of our events in recent memory! This marked the last event for autocross co-chair Ryan Golom. After 9 years in the Navy, Ryan is moving back to New Jersey to take over the family business. Brad Martinez has graciously stepped up to take on the role of co-chair and we look forward to the continued growth of our program. Chesapeake region truly has an amazing group of people to run all our events, whether they have official titles or not. Our new location comes with quite a few perks in case you are interested in more than just autocross. Besides fresh pavement, Lincoln Tech is located just around the corner from PCA National Headquarters and has allowed Executive Director Vu Nguyen to become a regular at our events. There are also numerous businesses lining the parking lot, so it is incredibly easy to enjoy a cold beer and good food once the driving is over. We typically finish around 1:00 pm so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy your Saturday after autocross! Our next event is Saturday, May 12th at Lincoln Technical Institute. Our entire schedule is listed on the Chesapeake website and can also be found by searching “Chesapeake” on MotorSportReg.com. We hope to see you soon!

Porsche-only Swap Meet Bob Zach’s 911 Wins Best of Show in Hershey!! Chesapeake Cars Take Top Prize, 1st in Class, 2nd in Class in Swap Meet Concours By Aniano Arao Co-Chair, Tour & Rally Committee PCA Chesapeake members entered four cars in the People’s Choice Concours of the 2018 PorscheOnly Swap Meet in Hershey on April 21, and two of them won trophies. Bob and Roxane Zach’s 1968 911L won 1st in Class and Best of Show honors. Jennifer and Stan Kukula’s 2015 911 GT3 took a 2nd in Class award. The two other entries from our region that impressed swap meet attendees were Minta and Aaron Miller’s 968 Cabriolet and Ryan Franks’s 993 Turbo. When Bob left his house early that morning, he had no intention to compete in the concours with the 911 he has owned since September 1967. But having overslept, I had no time to meet Randy Moss on my way to the New Freedom Restaurant in Pennsylvania, where our driving tour to Hershey was supposed to get underway at 8 AM. So I called Bob while we were both on the road and requested him to pick up Randy. He agreed to give Randy a ride to Hershey, while I managed to reach the restaurant parking lot at 7:50 AM, got the 41 tour participants to sign the PCA waiver forms, and launched 27 cars in three groups practically on schedule, with the welcome assistance of Michael Murphy, our president, and Eric Tipton. On the way to the swap meet, Randy persuaded Bob to enter his car in the concours. A veteran concours entrant and serial award winner himself, Randy knew the ropes. As soon as they reached the show field, Randy went to work, helping Bob detail and set up his car. Their last-minute efforts paid off as the car show got underway. The Sand Beige 911L attracted the attention and admiration of many swap meet attendees, who voted in large numbers to give it not only the 1st in Class award but also the most sought-after honor of all – Best of Show. Later on, as Bob and Randy told friends about the unlikely train of events that led to Bob’s overall victory, Mark Epstein made the observation that “it was meant to be.” I overslept, had no time to spare to pick up Randy, called Bob to get him instead, and on the way to Hershey Randy managed to talk Bob into entering his car in the concours. One thing led to another and, unexpectedly, Bob ended up with the day’s biggest trophy. As Mark said, “it was meant to be.” As for Jennifer and Stan Kukula, the swap meet was their gorgeous GT3’s first outing since they bought it literally at the end of 2017, in the depths of winter. Its Amaranth Red Metallic paint made it stand out among its peers. But it got edged out in the voting by another late-model 911, by a small margin. So it came in 2nd in Class – still a great honor.

Porsche-only Swap Meet Bob Zach’s 911 Wins Best of Show in Hershey!! Chesapeake Cars Take Top Prize, 1st in Class, 2nd in Class in Swap Meet Concours As usual, the swap meet attracted more than 6,000 Porsche enthusiasts, about a thousand Porsches, and nearly 650 vendors with millions of merchandise. The weather was perfect – sunny and cool. The car corral with hundreds of Porsches for sale and the spectator parking lot with hundreds of other Porsches were car shows in their own right. Held annually by the Central Pennsylvania Region of PCA, the Porsche-Only Swap Meet was a great success.
