Happy New Year

I hope 2022 was a good one for you and that 2023 will be even better! Our social team worked diligently to fill the GCR social calendar, and we anticipate that 2023 will exceed past years. The year 2023 is very special for the Gold Coast Region because we will celebrate our birthday in December when we turn 60! The group has planned many events to help the region learn more about our rich history and celebrate our 60 years.

Die Porsche Kassette and the Gold Coast Region website will cover our history from 1963 to 2023. We will hold events at several Porsche shops to discuss different Porsche models by year groupings. There will also be panel discussions at Drive and Dine locations. Stay tuned for a very exciting year!

I have attended many GCR social events during my twenty-one years in this region. Still, there is one event that truly stood out in 2022. I would like to thank and congratulate everyone on the social committee who worked on the holiday party, which was held in December. It was a job well done! I know this format will again be used as a template for the 60th celebration. I would also like to thank each member who voted in our election. As a result, we have added three new members to the board. Each of them has worked hard in several areas this past year. They worked with various charity-related events and were involved in Drivers Education, Juniors, Die Porsche Kassette, and many other key positions.

When you get a chance, review the 48 Hours at Sebring website. This event is amazing and is one of the highlights of our PCA year. Please call our volunteer reps for more information, if you have any questions, or to become a volunteer. You will be glad you did.

Throughout 2023, we will be replicating the styles of our Kassette issues from previous years. Notice the old style title that was used for many years pior to our new design. Enjoy the drive, Roger
