LONG BEACH EXPO Welcome to the
Welcome to the Long Beach Expo! We’re so glad you could make it to this final installment of The Collectibles Show of 2024, which has been held three times a year since 1964. This marks our 60th Diamond Anniversary, meaning the Long Beach Expo is the longest-running collectibles convention on the West Coast. Over the decades, we’ve reached hundreds of thousands of collectors spanning generations. Many attendees have returned year after year, bringing children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren as our show has become a beloved Southern California tradition.
We’re sure you’ll have a wonderful time making memories here, too, as we close out our jubilee year in style. Hundreds of dealers have converged on the bourse floor of this Long Beach Expo buying, selling, and trading coins, banknotes, sports cards and memorabilia, Funko Pops!, and much more at The Collectibles Show. There’s something for virtually everyone here, whether you’re just starting off your collectibles journey, are a seasoned collector looking to expand on your collection, or are looking for a new direction in your hobby altogether.
Heritage Auctions will be hosting a lot viewing on the bourse floor at Booth 429. The United States Mint is also here, providing a rare West Coast opportunity for collectors to buy coins straight from the source! You can take those new coins right over to Professional Coin Grading Service, which will be offering onsite submissions of coins, banknotes, and more at Booth 405 – be sure to visit the Submissions Lounge for a submission form! Don’t forget to check out the highly anticipated crossover specials that will help you save money when transferring encapsulated coins into Professional Coin Grading Service holders. Also accepting onsite submissions is Professional Sports Authenticator, which will be grading
sports cards, sports memorabilia, and more at Booth 1059. Have questions about your coins, banknotes, and sports memorabilia? You’ve certainly come to the right place! Long Beach Expo’s unique Meet the Expert sessions with coin authority Steve Feltner, banknote grader Philip Thomas, and Memory Lane sports expert Dan Wulkan provide you with a rare opportunity to speak one-on-one with the foremost collectibles experts and have your collectibles professionally appraised. Be sure to, yes, “Meet the Experts,” at Booth 908! Young attendees are sure to enjoy our ever-popular Kids’ Treasure Hunt on Saturday! Fun trivia and free prizes await these exploring landlubbers. Just stop by the Information Booth for more details on this fun-filled activity that may just lead to a fun photo opportunity with a pirate or two. We also have exciting giveaways for adults, with drawings every day for valuable coins, banknotes, and sports memorabilia – just make sure you’re present to claim your prize at 2:00 p.m. daily! We’re so glad you’re celebrating collectibles with us during our special anniversary! We’d love to meet you, so please feel free to say hello when you see us and other Long Beach Expo team members on the bourse floor. Let us know what you think and what you want to see more of in the years ahead, too. We love feedback! But most of all we hope you make some special memories while you’re here building the time-honored Long Beach Expo tradition with us.
With appreciation,
Stephanie Sabin, PCGS President Samantha Dark, PCGS Director of Events
