WE RESOLUTELY SUPPORT CHAIRMAN GONZALO’S DECISION AGAINST THE FARCICAL TRIAL!

WE RESOLUTELY SUPPORT CHAIRMAN GONZALO’S DECISION AGAINST THE FARCICAL TRIAL! The Communist Party of Perú, in the face of the reactionary bellow due to the forceful rejection of the farcical trial, and the May 1st mobilisation of the working class and the people, expresses the following: 1.- We resolutely support our Chairman Gonzalo’s decision for not attending the farcical trial of the Tarata case, because it is a trial with total lack of guarantees, violation of due process, restriction of the right of defence, therefore an illegal trial which we reject . It is, in fact, an eminently political trial aimed to discredit the CPP and its historical head leadership, to give verdict to the infamous accusation of drug trafficking, to prevent leaders of our Party, who have already served their sentence, from their release, and to chastise the revolutionaries so that they may never again rebel against the order of oppression and exploitation of the capitalist system. 2.- We greet with revolutionary joy the mobilisation of May 1st, Day of the International Proletariat, in which hundreds of class conscious workers and labourers with their children marched upholding the defence of their rights and for the freedom of the political prisoners in Perú. We greet the class conscious mobilisations carried out around the world, and we thank the support for the struggle for Chairman Gonzalo’s life, health and freedom. 3.- We condemn the “new law of apology” which they intend to approve against freedom of expression, freedom of thought, freedom of political participation, and it´s a real fascist muzzle against the people. It´s a law with its own distinct name against Marxist-Leninist-Maoists, Gonzalo thought, and which will extend to the people who demand and claim the struggle for socialism.
4.- We firmly embrace the defence of the democratic rights and freedoms of the people, the right of opinion, expression, organisation, assembly, demonstration, political participation and we summon the truly democratic organisations to defend this. 5.- We demand the Peruvian State, headed today by the most rancid and recalcitrant extreme right that leads the Parliamentary and the Executive branch, the cessation of violations of fundamental rights of the working class and the people. We must go forward towards the Bicentennial with a country reconciled and not one of hatred, revenge and eternal persecution against communists and revolutionaries. Otherwise, the Bicentennial will be only the brilliance of an instance, fleeting joy of a day.
DOWN WITH THE FARCE OF NEW TRIALS! FIGHT AGAINST THE FASCIST MUZZLE OF THE NEW LAW OF APOLOGY! DEFEND THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS! FOR THE RIGHT OF THE COMMUNISTS TO EXIST!
