Why did you choose Long Pocket Weddings and Events for your nuptials? We chose Long Pocket Weddings and Events for our wedding primarily because of the absolutely beautiful grounds of the golf course, and the fact that it is a private and serene setting for a wedding, despite being very close to Brisbane city. We were also very impressed by the service we received, from the time of our initial enquiries all the way to the conclusion of the reception. What was your favourite part about the venue? My favourite part about the venue was having our photos taken at sunset around the lakes and trees of the golf course whilst also enjoying a few drinks with our bridal party and being able to drive golf buggies to the photo locations. We had a lot of fun! What was the style and colour theme of your reception? The colour theme of our reception was white and lavender and the style - classical elegance. Any tips for budding brides and grooms to be? Try to enjoy the planning process and the lead up to the wedding and don't worry too much about the small details. Your guests won't necessarily remember the exact table centrepieces you chose, but they will remember if the bride and groom are happy and relaxed and having fun on the day. Three words you would use to describe the day? Memorable, exhilarating and joyous.

Social Golf PUBLIC PLAY
Indooroopilly Golf Club welcomes visitors to play our 36-hole championship golf course from Sunday to Friday. Located on a bend of the Brisbane River just 10 minutes from the heart of Brisbane, we offer a great golf experience in a relaxed setting. Please note that Indooroopilly Golf Club has a strict Dress Code. For insurance reasons external motorised carts are not allowed at Indooroopilly Golf Club. We have 60 motorised carts available for hire should they be required.
BOOK ONLINE Indooroopilly Golf Club offers you the chance to access online timesheets as a registered Public Member. By registering, you can book your next tee off time for 18-holes of golf from Sunday to Friday. If you require a motorised golf cart please call the Golf Shop prior to booking to confirm availability.

Staff Spotlight Tell us a little more about your journey with Long Pocket and Indooroopilly Golf Club. I moved from the UK to Australia in March 2012 and started at Indooroopilly Golf Club in May 2012 as part of the Golf Operations team. In March 2013 I took on the role of Corporate Golf Coordinator. What led you to a career in event management? I have always been a keen golfer and after I stopped playing in 2010 I decided I would like a career in a game I have always enjoyed playing. I managed to secure a job working at Wentworth Club in the UK and then moved into a role looking after memberships and corporate golf days for Crown Golf also in the UK. What is the best part about your job? Working with a variety of organisations to create an event and then watch it unfold on the day. Each golf day has a different purpose from raising funds for charity or entertaining clients. What makes LP the perfect course? Being only a 10 minute drive from the CBD makes it a great place to mix business and pleasure. We are lucky to have four nine holes and the ability to create six different 18 hole combinations which is something very unique. What advice would you give to those wishing to organise a corporate golf day? Keep it simple and make it enjoyable.
