CHAIR OF FRIENDS OF THE CANADIAN CHAROLAIS FOUNDATION
Welcome to the 3rd Annual Friends of the Canadian Charolais Foundation sale. This past year has been an exciting one for the Board as we have launched our Mentorship Program and begun to formalize a scholarship. Along with the Saskatchewan and Canadian Charolais Associations, we look forward to a great time in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, on June 6th and 7th. Included will be great meetings, fellowship and our 2nd Breeder’s School being held at Bovigen Genetics. Thanks again to the progressive breeders and industry partners for once again supporting the Foundation. We will continue to promote the breed through Youth programs, Education and Research into 2025! I get the privilege to work with an amazing Board of Directors whose hard work and vision helps to grow and expand the Foundation’s reach in only three short years. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing everyone in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, on June 7th.
FRIENDS OF THE CANADIAN CHAROLAIS ASSOCIATION FUNDRAISER SALE CHAIR
Welcome to the 3rd Annual Friends of the Canadian Charolais Foundation Sale! I would like to first thank the FCCF committee for their time and dedication year round to help put this line up together. To all the sponsors, this would not happen without your generous donations to the sale and we thank you. As well, to anyone who purchased anything in the last sales, I say THANK YOU. The FCCF is committed to raising funds to give people the opportunity to take advantage of things they may not have access to. The Mentorship Program is new this year and was a huge success. The Foundation also supports many scholarships as well as funding for our Youth to attend the International Youth Conference. Education and Research are part of the mandate and projects like the Breeders School and Forage Education at CCYA were part of this initiative. As the Foundation funds grow, so will the work of the organization. Thanks again to everyone involved and I will see you in Moose Jaw!

Last fall in the Platinum Picks sale, Derek & Tami Dekeyser, of DanG Charolais, donated this transplant heifer sired by PCC Lincoln 15H, out of Miss Prairie Cove 504C to be auctioned and all the proceeds went to the Friends of the Canadian Charolais Foundation in memory of three breeders that were important to the Dekeysers that passed away last year: Ivan Hutchinson, Kelly Langstaff and Tim Bullick.
13 breeders went together and purchased the heifer for $13,000 and donated her to the Foundation to be auctioned off in this sale. She was then trucked to Prairie Cove Charolais, which was donated by H.S. Knills, where Tyler and Justine Bullick graciously fed, bred and fit the heifer and she is now Lot 1 in this year’s sale. Bred March 30th to WCR Bold Move 168 P.
The female will be sold by Dutch auction with tickets only $10.00 each. Tickets will be auctioned off at the sale with the draw being made at the end of the sale.

Signature was our pick of the Lindskov Thiel bulls in 2017. We were looking for a performance bull with calving ease. He checked all the boxes you need when looking for a herdsire, and once I saw his elite dam with her picture perfect udder, I was determined to own him. We are very pleased with how he has grown still maintaining his perfect foot, and his daughters are some of our best cows in the herd. His sons have been sale toppers every year. To top it off, he’s as quiet as a puppy! PAF Hetro
