perceive Preface “The real measure of success is not about being successful in one area only, but when you achieve balance in all areas of your life. – Brian Tracy This life planner was created with you in mind. It is an empowering tool to help you have more clarity, organization and meaning as you achieve your most important goals in every area of your life. This planner is intended to empower you by providing the foundations for living a conscious, productive, purposeful, and fulfilling life. It is also a tool to bring more balance and massive success in a short period of time. With this life planner, you will have the opportunity to identify your core values that govern your actions on a daily basis. You will enhance the vision you have for yourself and your mission or purpose in life. This will allow you to have a holistic perspective and approach to life and the opportunity to align your goals with your deepest values. Your vision and mission statements will become clearer. This approach is the best way to cement the foundations for long-lasting success and satisfaction. At the same time you will be enhancing the overall quality in all areas of your life. You will be able to have more clarity about what is important and what is not. You will be writing very specific goals in each area of your life; health, fitness, educational, professional, entrepreneurial, financial, lifestyle, relationships, spirituality, family, social, recreational and material. Most importantly you will reflect on your own personal legacy. This clear focus is going to allow you to achieve important goals in very little time. You will also have the opportunity to break those goals down into small manageable tasks. These will become shorter time-frame goals; going from a long-term holistic approach to life, to yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily focused activities. This adds purpose and meaning to your everyday life. It will allow you to have more awareness in your daily activities and to manage your time wisely and effectively. Now you will have the opportunity to find joy in the process of working toward the realization of your most important goals -- every single day. This life planner is like truly having a life coach, a mentor, a trusted advisor, and an organization tool and time management expert by your side. At Peak Planners we want to thank you for making us part of your own success story, and we look forward to helping you along the way by providing the best tools you need to make those goals a reality. To your success, The Peak Planners Team

Values “Try not to become a man of success, but a man of value.” – Albert Einstein
Y
our values not only reflect what is important to you in life, but they are also the driving force behind everything you do or don’t do. Your values define who you are.
Knowing your values before you start setting your goals, your vision and vision statements is critical to your future level of satisfaction in life. They can give you true clarity, awareness and overall satisfaction. When your values are in alignment with that which you hold true, life becomes far more meaningful and enjoyable. From the way you dress, act, talk, work, and live, to the people with whom you associate and the activities in which you engage, your values are all reflections of who you are at the core. Your values form the root of your character. Example:
Temperance: Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation. Silence: Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation. Order: Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.
Resolution: Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
Frugality: Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.
Industry: Lose no time; be always employed in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
Sincerity: Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
Justice: Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty.
Moderation: Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.
Cleanliness: Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, clothes, or habitation.
Tranquility: Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.
Chastity: Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dullness, weakness or the injury of your own or another’s peace or reputation. Humility: Emulate Christ and Socrates in all things.
12
– Benjamin Franklin
The Pyramid of Life Satisfaction “Happiness does not come from doing easy work but from the afterglow of satisfaction that comes after the achievement of a difficult task that demanded our best.” – Theodore Isaac Rubin
Life’s Satisfaction Results Daily Activities
The level of fulfillment that we experience once our results are in alignment with our deepest values, and our vision and mission in life. External evidence of achievements that others see. They are the end result of our governing values and the physical expression of that which we hold in high regard. Daily routines in which we engage to achieve our short-term objectives which lead to our long-term goals.
Short-Term Goals
The immediate goals we are working towards. They are the bridge that gives meaning to our daily activities and our long-term goals.
Long-Term Goals
They are the signposts that guide us through the course of our lives. They are greatly related with our mission and vision and give directions to our short-term goals.
Life’s Roles
The different identities that we take during the course of our lives to fulfill our mission and goals. They could be any combination of personal, professional, family or social roles.
Life’s Mission
This is our life’s purpose. Our mission gives meaning to our existence. And it’s reflected in the passion we feel for certain things. Our mission greatly influences the different roles we play in our lives.
Life’s Vision
The ideal place at which we aspire to arrive. It can be clear or it can be blurred. Our vision greatly influences our mission. The clearer it is the more effective we will be.
Life’s Values
The set of principles we live by. They are the foundations of everything we do or don’t. They define who we are. They can be either conscious or unconscious.
Needs & Wants
The seed motivators in our lives. They are either physiological or psychological. They are driven by pain (avoiding) or pleasure (seeking). 13

Vision Statement “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” – Helen Keller
Y
our vision is where you are going but not the destination where you will arrive. Let me take a moment to explain that your vision is the picture of your preferred future state. It is the way you want things to be. You won’t arrive at your vision if you get a different vision every year. As you grow in all areas of your life, you will probably have to make some adjustments to your vision statement. During the course of life you will need to self-correct, but it is not intended to be changed completely year after year. Your vision statement is the place where you aspire to be someday, but you will probably never accomplish it. And that is the purpose of the vision statement – to push you further and to force you to become better and grow in all areas of your life. Your vision statement is important because it keeps the flame inside of you alive. A person without a vision is easily distracted. He is likely to quit and achieve less in life. A vision has to be big enough in intensity, magnitude and scale that it scares you a little. Your big vision will force you to become more. You will always keep working toward your vision statement. It is a never-ending process and a long journey to becoming better. Vision Statement Examples:
“There will be a personal computer on every desk running Microsoft software.” – Bill Gates “To develop the most creative, innovative and profitable entertainment experiences and related products in the world.” – Walt Disney “A land where each person would be judged by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin.” – Martin Luther King Jr. “Our vision is a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.” – Save the Children Organization 18
Mission Statement “Writing or reviewing a mission statement changes you because it forces you to think through your priorities deeply, carefully, and to align your behavior with your beliefs.” – Stephen Covey
Y
our personal mission statement is the description of the kind of person you want to be and the kind of life you want to live. It is based on the values you identified. It provides clarity and gives you a sense of purpose. It defines who you are and how you will live. Your mission statement incorporates the set of values you previously identified. It tells what you stand for and where you are. By doing so, you begin the process of actually becoming the person that is consistent with the values you identified. Mission Statement Examples:
“To serve as a leader, live a balanced life, and apply ethical principles to make a significant difference.” – Denise Morrison, CEO of Campbell Soup Company “I define personal success as being consistent to my own personal mission statement: to love God and love others.” – Joel Manby, CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment “To be a teacher and to be known for inspiring my students to be more than they thought they could be.” – Oprah Winfrey, founder of OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network “The mission of our family is to create a nurturing place of order, love, happiness, and relaxation, and to provide opportunities for each person to become responsible independent and effectively interdependent, in order to achieve worthwhile purposes.” – Anonymous 19

Life Planner
Goal Setting “A dream written down with a DATE becomes a goal. A goal broken down into STEPS becomes a plan. A plan backed by ACTION makes your dreams come true.” – Greg S. Reid When setting goals, use the acronym SMART; it stands for:
Specific: Be precise about what you want to accomplish, that way you will know exactly when you accomplished it. Example: Create an action plan to finish my degree on time.
Measurable: Set milestones along the way to track progress. If possible, try to quantify your results. Example: Increase my annual income by 10% by the end of July.
Actionable: Goals must be reasonable and translatable into an action plan ready for implementation. Make sure every goal you write starts with an action verb (e.g. Start, Begin, Attain, Gather, Create, Implement, Join, Outline, Prepare, Repair, Simplify, Systematize, Eliminate, Complete, Terminate, Upgrade, Finish, etc.) Example: Run for 15 minutes a day five times per week.
Realistic: Goals should be challenging so that they force you to grow and expand out of your comfort zone; they should not be unreasonable in a way that demotivates you to start taking action toward their realization. Example: Lose two pounds per week for the next month.
Timely: Every goal needs a clear target date for its completion. This creates a sense of urgency and forces you to do whatever it takes to complete your goals on time. Example: Complete the proposal tomorrow morning, March 23, 2015 by 10 a.m.
Other Tips for Setting Goals: • Set priorities • Break them down into small manageable tasks • State each goal as a positive statement with a lot of emotional charge • Review them frequently, and do something every day that bring those goals closer and closer • Make sure they are in alignment with your values, vision and mission statements • Fall in love with the process, not the individual events or the final outcome • Reward yourself when you achieve significant milestones • Have a support system in place, including people, processes, and systems • Be committed to never give up, no matter what • Categorize your goals into different types – Immediate goals – can be achieved within a week or two – Short-term goals – can be achieved within three months – Medium-term goals – can be achieved within a year – Long-term goals – take longer than a year 26
Your Legacy What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” – Zig Ziglar

Your legacy is made of the so many “YOUs” that you have. Each of them only cares about improving and developing his/her own selfish interests. Unbalance and dissatisfaction in life occur when some of the many “YOUs” feel ignored and unaccomplished. By being conscious and working in all of them, you’ll be leaving a legacy worth leaving. 27

I am your constant companion. I am your greatest helper or your heaviest burden. I will push you onward or drag you down to failure. I am completely at your command. Half the things you do, you might just as well turn over to me, And I will be able to do them quickly and correctly. I am easily managed; you must merely be firm with me. Show me exactly how you want something done, And after a few lessons I will do it automatically. I am the servant of all great people, And, alas, of all failures as well. Those who are great, I have made great. Those who are failures, I have made failures. I am not a machine, Though I work with all the precision of a machine Plus, the intelligence of a man. You may run me for profit, or run me for ruin; It makes no difference to me. Take me, train me, be firm with me And I will put the world at your feet. Be easy with me, and I will destroy you. Who am I? I am your HABIT. – Author Unknown

Declarations vs. Affirmations Declarations are powerful statements that can drastically help us to achieve more, faster if we can only learn how to tap the inner resources that we all have. However, the difference between a Declaration and an Affirmation is slight, but powerful. The impact it has in our lives is so profound, that it is worth noting the difference.
Declarations Declarations make something official, formal, and evident. When you declare something, you own it NOW. You are coming from a place of being as opposed to a place of trying to become. When you declare a statement, you act as if you already are that person. This creates a sense of being and triggers your inner resources to do and possess the things that are consistent with that kind of person. Examples:
• I’m healthy (My body and vitality prove that – so you start feeling and acting healthy)
• I’m successful (My results in every single area show it)
• I’m wealthy (My lifestyle makes it visible)
• I’m powerful (My demeanor demonstrates it)
• I’m influential (My ability to captivate, persuade and affect people makes it obvious)
This is critical in the vibrational world (the real world) where all things are created.
Affirmations Affirmations are positive statements asserting that a goal you wish to achieve in the future is already happening but it hasn’t been achieved yet. It is in the present progressive. Examples:
• I’m getting healthier (but I am not as healthy as I would like to be)
• I’m becoming successful (but I am still short of achieving all my biggest goals in life)
• I’m getting wealthy (but I am not financially independent yet)
• I’m becoming powerful (but I’m not as powerful as others that I know)
• I’m becoming influential (but I still have work to do)
Psychologically, this energetic difference in the vibrational world makes it difficult to trigger your inner resources to be, do, have and achieve what you intend in the shortest amount of time possible. Since your mind registers the statements as processes that haven’t been completed yet, this underlines the huge and powerful energetic distinction between affirmations and declarations, and is reflected in the outer world in the form of results. 229
