International Bachelor's Degree On completion of the Advanced Diploma, Pearl Academy students have an option to pursue a bachelor's degree program from some of the renowned international universities with which Pearl Academy has academic collaborations. These are Nottingham Trent University UK, University of Derby UK, Manchester Metropolitan University UK, University of Creative Arts UK and Torrens University Australia. Pearl Academy facilitates the enrolment of eligible students in the final year of the undergraduate degree programs at these universities based on a recognition of and transfer of credits. Students graduate with a degree from the International University. However, students should note that an international degree is presently not equivalent to an Indian degree as per Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and hence, they will not be able to pursue a post- graduate degree in India unless they have completed the distance education degree facilitated by Pearl Students with international degrees are accepted by private and international organizations /MNCs for employment. Indian Bachelor's Degree Pearl Academy facilitates the enrolment and completion of an Indian bachelor’s program so that its students earn a UGC recognized degree. Delhi Campus - School of Open Learning, Delhi University Mumbai Campus - Institute of Distance and Open Learning, Mumbai. University Bangalore Campus - Directorate of Correspondence Courses, Bangalore University Jaipur Campus- Eligible students from 2020 batch and onwards can enroll for BVoc/B.Des degree from Rajasthan ILD Skills University (RISU). Pearl Academy Jaipur Campus is an approved affiliated institute of RISU, a pioneering government skill university recognized by UGC. Students pursuing Management Programs will be facilitated to enroll for BBA program from IGNOU. If a student wants to pursue a degree program through ODL (Open and Distance Learning) from a recognized university other than the ones mentioned above, he/she is free to do so. Students with a bachelor’s degree through ODL are eligible to pursue further studies from recognized Indian universities and International Universities.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The course covers 3 areas of styling (Personal, Editorial and Commercial) and is designed in a way that allows a student to identify his/her area of interest within styling. SPIRITED AWAY Inspired by the illustrated tales of the fish market, spirited away is a collection of hand woven chanderi saris which further have gone through various such as ombre dyeing, embroideries, blockprinting, patchwork and shibori to achieve the desired effect. Fast fashion stores, want you to feel like you are out of trend after one week and we tend to buy more. This leads to the overflowing wardrobes at our homes. The installation communicates a basic difference between slow fashion and fast fashion. It depicts the real-time scenario with fashion.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The four-year UG Product Design deals with the design and development of industrially produced consumer durables like electronic and smart devices, appliances, tools and equipment, furniture and packaging in the service of a wide variety of industries, businesses and socio-cultural needs. Students acquire design skills and build design aptitude in order to create innovative, disruptive, physical product-based solutions. Students are taught design principles, usability, empathy, critical thinking and technical know-how to be able to create product solutions embodying ideals of sustainability, aesthetics of form and function, creative problem-solving and applied technology. Our pedagogy incorporates rigorous academic mentoring, delivered through crits with tutors, via seminars, in workshops as studio work, industrial visits and study trips. Students have all the facilities to undertake research, idea generation, fieldwork and model making; access to on-campus maker spaces - replete with mechanical and digital prototyping systems, latest 3D printers and design software. This course encourages learners to become adept makers, agile thinkers, and fearless creatives. LITHE LAMP Design students Jugal Desai, Anushka Sarawgi and Yashika Dhamija designed a light called ‘Lithe’ which means graceful. They took inspiration from the famous building of Zaha Hadid, Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center located in Baku, Azerbaijan. This product was part of ‘EDIDA 2018' competition, conducted by Elle Decor India and finished as first runners up under the Student Category for ‘International Elle Décor Awards’ in Lighting Design.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

In the four-year UG Accessory Design students gain the ability to design and develop a variety of wearable and non-wearable accessory objects. A dynamic field offering unique mixture of functionality, aesthetics and creative experimentation in order to create a wide range of everyday accessories and/or high-end luxury pieces. Students develop understanding of design principles & aesthetics, accessory trends & style, crafts, consumers and markets, manufacturing and materials. Students have all the facilities to undertake research, idea generation, fieldwork and making in their particular specialism including access to on-campus maker spaces, replete with mechanical and digital prototyping systems, latest 3D printers and design software. There are two specialisms offered in this program. Each student can choose one specialization in third semester. Lifestyle Accessory: Lifestyle accessory specialism gives a student the opportunity to explore and create a wide variety of wearable as well as non-wearable accessory objects including - Bags, Shoes, Watches, Eyewear, Home Décor Objects, Craft Objects, Office Accessories, Giftware and Tableware. Jewellery: Students will receive training in the wide array of areas essential to jewellery design and explore many varieties, aesthetics, forms and techniques of jewellery making from traditional to contemporary, from precious to non-precious from luxury to craft and perhaps innovate new forms of jewellery.
