ABOUT:
The Design House of PEDDADA® was established in 1999. It's founded on a vision to create singular products for the most discerning connoisseurs and collectors as users that possess a higher quotient of aesthetic sensitivity and taste. Our designs are for those who desire originality, rarity, and most of all, that experience of spiritual alchemy in elements coalesced and rendered into a beautiful object. We pride in the creation of product concepts that are singular in their unusual combination of materials and function, never thought of before. Every design is handcrafted, in rare limited editions, restricted by materials, and the time it takes to craft them. We invest in modern, as well as traditional proven techniques to preserve and sustain the processes perfected through generations.
“Great design lies in bringing ordinary disparate everyday materials together in such a way that a mere need is transformed to a passionate desire.” – Raju Peddada
PEDDADA'S previous six design catalogs are a testament to not only design authenticity but rare design market events. The products are not fabricated anymore due to irregular supply and the exponential increase in the price of raw materials, as well as air freight costs from the source of manufacture. It's the celebration of their art, by our own unique designs. All our hand fabrication is now concentrated in North America and Europe. And, we manufacture one-off/bespoke and or limited batches of the briefcases, which means that in a specific color combination we might just produce 2-4 of the same. The Design House has a huge pipeline of new design concepts in the offing – that will be brought to the market in due course. It's also set to release new lines of Krysti and AnnFisher® Totes, day bags and evening bags, and SNAM® men's accouterments, later in 2022-23.

Literary artists create worlds for us to escape into, and we design and create products to escape with...
STYLE is SUBSTANCE STYLE is CHARACTER “The passionate and the professionals: the prepared, effect, and account for every detail in their arsenal. They leave nothing to the whims of chance or fate, before embarking on their lonely path-finding missions that often shift the paradigms for the rest of us. Accouterments to them must possess style, character, and absolute functionality, as the armor against mediocrity, futility, and obscurity. But, more importantly, accouterments must also telegraph that individual's intentions, attitude and symbolize the mission.”
– Raju Peddada
BESPOKE:
PEDDADA'S February*Sparrow line has pushed the limits of aesthetic possibility, rarity, and originality by releasing only two to four items that are in the same combination of materials and design. In other words, only two to four of them will be available – as a celebration of the singularity of every individual. Every briefcase is a fingerprint unto itself in its minute differences from others, as we all are. This is an extravagant process for extraordinary people...
RARE EDITIONS:
Our briefcases are made from carefully culled batches of natural and dyed leather. Batch is an important word, because, the Mauve #21 from the first batch will not match Mauve #21 from the second batch – what we craft from the first batch of Mauve will be only in that specific Mauve. If that first batch of Mauve yields six briefcases, then that is it for that specific Mauve, therefore, rare, limited editions. Leathers cannot be reproduced in the same fine hues, even if the design is constant. Leather, intrinsically, induces limited editions, which lends into our design rarity.
GIFT & INCENTIVE EDITIONS:
We can design and craft, on your company specs, exclusive executive editions for incentive and gifting to clients, partners, and performers within your company. They can be your prestigious promoting vehicles, than mere T-shirts, mugs, and hats in your corporate colors and logo on the briefcases – imagine that! They can also be crafted as giveaway holds for product instruction/owners manuals for products that deserve that distinction. This can be an exclusive marketing asset.

THE MAGIC of IMPERFECTION:
Leather is what it was fed on. Leather is an idiosyncratic element of nature, markedly different, even within the same species, depending on the conditions. One batch of dyed leather in Blush #12 will not be the same as the next batch of Blush #12. This is what makes it special. The beauty and majesty of leather reside in its imperfections, like that of a diamond – this is its allure. It's the flaws that render it singular, hence desirable: the irregularities, blemishes, the freckles, or the moles, are like fingerprints. Therefore, each batch and what it yields is truly limited, one-of-a-kind. There are myriad leather dying processes – we tend to explore all of them, depending on the design and its hardware.
Leather, is quite possibly the only material in the world that possesses the unique capacity to acquire an attitude, and assume a character or a personality, after years of service. It develops, slowly, with the arc of its usage, becoming very much like those well-worn characters of Charles Dickens or Hemingway – enduring, even beyond our lifetimes.
FABRICATION:
Each of our double briefcases is hand cut out of two distinct shades of leather, each four square feet, for a total of eight square feet. The signature style of PEDDADA briefcases is that they come in combinations of colors, either matching, like flesh/coffee, or contrasting, like onyx/sky blue. The pieces are assembled and hand-stitched slowly into form, followed by the application of unique hardware, finally adorned by our distinctive triangular logo. It's assembled to be a timeless classic, yet, utterly stylish in everyday use.
PASSION:
“Our style-personality, our discernment or taste in things, our friends, and what we eat and read is the envelope we become. We push ourselves to the limits – we become our choices. And, while our personal lives are transitory, our little possessions become our lifetime companions. They represent constancy, a modicum of stability that obviate internal struggles, like J. M. W. Turner's leather case, which he took everywhere, or Boswell's Morocco journal. I visualize our briefcases journeying forth as lifetime companions in the arms of some pathfinders, who may very well change our paradigms for the better – I only wish that these stylish companions could speak to us after years of service, tell us their story, their journeys or adventures with those ambitious folks.”
