Introduction by Robert Walker Founder & Managing Director Having established Alexander James in 1995 from my dining room table, and naming it after my (then) newly born son, it is with great pride and satisfaction that I have witnessed the company grow to become a team of over 100 interior designers and associates as it is today. The Alexander James Group of Companies provides interior and architectural design services, bespoke kitchen, bedroom and fitted furniture solutions, audio visual technology and flooring services to property developers, private clients and hotel groups around the world. This could not have been achieved without the hard work, creative passion and support of my loyal colleagues, many of whom are still with the business today. Over the years we have been fortunate enough to work with some of the UK’s leading property developers providing award winning show home interiors and furnishing solutions. Our client base now extends to over 60 house builders including Millgate, Berkeley Homes, Octagon Developments, Luxlo, St. James, Linden Homes, McLaren Property, Lendlease, Countryside, Lusso, Crest Nicholson, Chase New Homes, Willmott Dixon, Antler and Barratt Homes. Our private client team delivers a seamless and highly personalised service whilst creating beautiful interiors for private individuals. Our goal is to help each client maximise the full potential of their home, introducing bespoke designs which are tailored to their individual requirements.
The latest addition to our group, Alexander James International, was originally formed from a group of leading hotel interior and architectural designers, and the team have worked with many of the world’s leading hotel groups across the globe with recent projects including the Mercure in Edinburgh, Hilton in Minsk, Belarus and Yerevan, Armenia and the Crowne Plaza in Bucharest. Other clients include residential care group Hadrian Healthcare and hotel groups Intercontinental and Marriott. The team also provides a full residential architectural interior design and specification service for both new-build and renovation projects. Alexander James has received much recognition in the property industry. We recently found success at the UK Property Awards, winning the award for Best Interior Design of a Private Residence. Our scheme for the Chart Ridge development in Oxted also helped Millgate win Gold in the Best Interior Design category at the prestigious What House? Awards. The showhome we designed for Westmark Polska's development "Ventana" has also been awarded a Golden Villa Statue - the main prize with a title of Best Showhome of the Year. Alexander James are proud to have been featured by many publications and television programmes, including 25 Beautiful Homes, Showhouse, The Sunday Times and Channel 4’s From House to Home, though for me however, our biggest accolade was to be featured in the Andrew Martin Top 100 International Interior Designers Yearbook for a second time. 3

Private Residences Alexander James Interiors provides a level of service and attention to detail which is second to none. We combine a mix of luxury residential styling with a considered understanding of our clients’ commercial requirements. Offering an individual and refreshing approach to interior design where creativity and vision meet the demands of the commercial environment. We recognise that good design requires a quality aesthetic and a successful interaction between people and their environment. We believe that

DSH Flooring work closely with our interior design team to offer both developers and private clients a choice of inspirational flooring options from a wide range of manufacturers from around the world. We are price competitive, with short lead-times and provide a fast and efficient installation service.

Futurehome - Home Technology Alexander James Interiors incorporates Futurehome who can supply the very latest in media distribution and home control systems. Futurehome provide technology for new homes as well as careful and sensitive installations in existing properties. Our systems range from a state-of-the-art home cinema, to fully integrated multi-room audio visual systems which can be operated from an iPad, iPhone or similar device.
