Private Competition Lyngby . 2013 Team Maria Sommer | Team Leader | Architect maa Aleksander Krauze | Intern Architect Ida Møller | Intern Architect Per HallstrÜm | Intern Architect Pedro Abalada | Intern Architect Svante Karlsson | Intern Architect Project description The existing buildings do not stuff by themselves but appear with their sober functional character to be fully integrated into the green. The green box barns and large trees that encircle and edges the lanes, paths and roads act as an oasis from another and innocent time.It is important to design the new buildings in the quiet spirit, with simple shapes and mainly on quiet but robust materiality. To ensure the volume is integrated harmoniously with the surrounding ones, we have chosen to place the new sports facilities in two buildings, each with its own identity: the facilities and the main hall building. The facilities building is located in the extension of the existing sports hall so as to create a new common main entrance and a flexible occupied zone connecting swimming facility, an activity, show hall and a new multi-purpose hall. The exterior terrain decline recorded in a large outside seating staircase and ramp at the arrival area. 8

Project description Using one single modular building system that can be combined in many ways, it is possible to create varied settlement’s volumes and compositions, depending on the urban / landscape context. The buildings are constructed of a simple modular system of units 480x420cm and 480x240cm, load-bearing walls between apartments. This is then added isolated input modules of 160x220x300cm. Entity simple construction ensures a great variety of housing types within the main types: 4+ room (which can be divided to two homes), 3+ room; 1 room and 2-3 room dwelling. These two main types of cover, with subdivision of the large type, the need for housing with room divisions in variations from one room dwelling up to 4 rooms and 2 chambers. Each housing is disposed so that the kitchen / living areas are located in contacting the access road and “front yards. 14

URBAN PLANNING
DORTE MANDRUP ARKITEKTER Invited Competition | Co-author Hosper MW Tampere . 2014 Team Kristoffer Nejsum | Team Leader | Architect maa Aleksander Krauze | Intern Architect Nicholas Petitmaire | Intern Architect Nina Wojcicka | Intern Architect Pedro Abalada | Intern Architect Project description The proposal for developing Eteläpuisto Park and it’s surroundings is based on an analysis of the meeting between the grid city and the different landscape qualities on its periphery. With focus on accessibility to the recreational qualities of the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi, the proposal creates generous new public spaces along the waterfront. The proposal adapts to the scale of several of the present structures. The Klingendahl factory doubles up the scale of the initial city plan and becomes the natural starting point for developing the area. Tampere’s identity as a lake-side city is the main objective of ents and the general public of Tampere.

Project description Over the years, there was performed some modifications on the Virum’s hall interior. Many of these changes have not contributed to perserve and enlarge the original beauty of the hall. With the client’s wish to get again the remarkable orginal beauty of the hall was permited to make changes on the fake-wood wall, in particular its horizontal metric, allowing to create new solutions for lighting, as well as improving the poor acoustics of the hall with a much more dynamic interior façade. Also the seats of the assistance deserved the attention of better treatment, by referring the proposal for an approximation to the original benches. Finally, the entire ceiling is re-constructed also helping to the improvement of the acoustics.
