We’re a traditionally different hotel in the heart of the Borders, made to be the backdrop to your own wee love story. From lovestruck fools to incurable romantics, grand gatherings to small “inner circle” dos, we welcome you all. We’re suckers for a good wedding and would love to be a part of yours.
CHERISH Some venues start with what you can’t have, we however like to think we specialise in channelling the dreams of every bride to be. It’s a big day and a big deal, we get it. That’s why we plan with you all the way from your first hotel visit to the very last guest to leave.
OBEY Your wish is our command (where humanly possible...) But don’t waste any of your wishes on a warm Scottish welcome or a choice of delicious dishes made with local produce and vegetables from our garden - that’s just a standard for us! We’re here to create your day, yourway and with countless “big days” under our belt we have loads of inspired suggestions too.
I DO The hotel has a choice of five unique reception rooms fit for weddings small and large! With the grandest of grand ballrooms, three unique reception rooms serving food as fancy as you like and a 30 acre estate with the most jaw dropping views over the Borders countryside. What’s not to say ” I do” to?

FEELING PECKISH?
Red carpets, honeymoon suite and our wedding co-ordinator are a given. And what would your day be without a cake stand and a ceremonial knife to make that cake cutting picture complete. Our toastmaster will keep things on point with as much or as little pomp and ceremony as you’d like. We’re sticklers for detail, and should you be too here’s everything you want to know and a little bit more:
The evening buffet is included for all day guests, ask to see our sample menus for a little inspiration. Additional guests can be added, so no need to whittle the guest list down just yet.
B E S T M A N & B R I D E S M A I D B E D RO O M S Your wingman and woman are there to organise your things, organise everyone else and keep everything calm. We include a bedroom for each on the wedding eve and the night of the wedding. No check in to worry about and a base for everything they’re handed on the day. We wonder why all venues don’t offer this.
NUMBERS Generally pricing is based on 60 full paying adults for Sunday to Thursday weddings, or 70 on Fridays and Saturdays. That doesn’t mean you have to cull the guest list or start inviting long lost cousins, instead gives an indicative price, which may be lower per person for more guests or higher for less. RO O M F O R O N E M O R E ? Our Ballroom is perfect for celebrations of over 90 guests. For a more intimate affair, we’ve three smaller rooms ideal for private dining and smaller weddings and bijou gatherings.
B E M E N U C R I T I C F O R T H E DAY A wedding tasting for two is included in our wedding packages. If you need a third (or fourth...) opinion, invite away and we’ll let you know the cost.
L E T ’ S S P E N D T H E N I G H T TO G E T H E R The best bit is having all your best friends and family in one place, so you’ll be pleased to know, we offer up to 20 bedrooms on your wedding evening at a guaranteed rate.
W H E N B R E A K FA S T M E A N S D I N N E R Our three-course wedding meal is served with tea and coffee and includes half a bottle of wine per person. A glass of sparkling wine for your toasts is included too. Slanj!
WEDDING SPECIALS We do offer savings for those off peak times. Sundays and weddings in winter are available at special prices. See our wedding rates for this years specials.
SLANJ! Whilst you’re out having photos, we’ll entertain your guests with a canape reception. Two canapes per person as standard, but you can opt to add more and we also include a glass of sparkling wine, beer or soft drink for all guests.
RELIVE THE MEMORIES ON US “Remember when uncle Sandy…” bring the photo album, flick through the message group images, tag some friends and smile. Looking back is the bit that lasts forever, and something you should return to us to do. So for our main package, your anniversary stay is on us.
