Mary Ruth Simonson & Hannah Schlachter, Ault PTO Butterfly Garden Co-Chairs The Ault Butterfly Garden was in tip-top shape for the first day of school, thanks to the volunteers who came to our "Big Help" event the week before school started. Garden committee volunteers have been maintaining, weeding, and watering the garden all summer. Still, a big push right before the school ensured that our beautiful garden was ready to welcome our AllStars back to campus. Adults and kids alike worked on adding soil, making a new bed for a donated mandarin orange tree, spread mulch, weed, and add pea gravel to our painted rock walkway. Students worked together to make a new "star" from donated flagstone pavers. Caterpillars are munching away on pipevine, milkweed, and passion vine, and we'll have more butterflies soon.
