Andy's Bar and Grill
Countdown for a New Watering Hole

Just three years after hospitality veteran Andy Correa opened Andy's Kitchen in Fairfield, he is at it again! His new endeavor, Andy's Bar and Grill, is just down the road a piece, as the Rolling Stones were fond of saying, east of us on Highway 290, between Mason Road and Mueschke Road, in the site of the former New York Chicago Pizza House.
For those unfamiliar with Andy's Kitchen, it is a cozy eatery on Mason Road next to Pizza Hut in the Fairfield Subdivision, known as much for its juicy, mouth-watering burgers as its namesake Andy. It's a place he likes to call a "small kitchen with a big heart," which is what it is. Andy's concern for others and the community makes him adored by everyone who has crossed his path. He's always on the lookout for a way to serve and get involved with the community. Friendly, giving, and never without a smile, Andy is always one of the first ones tapped for food drives, school functions, cookoffs, and charity events.
Friend and colleague Pat Hudson explained, "Andy Correa has made a name for himself by providing a family-friendly atmosphere with a great down-home menu at Andy's Kitchen. His hamburgers are the talk of social media; when someone asks where to go for the best burgers, it is a 'no brainer' that Andy's Kitchen will be at the top of the list! "But more than that, Andy is a larger-than-life figure, with a heart to match! He has been caught reaching into his own pocket to feed first responders and Fairfield campus teachers. He is an invaluable supporter of Cy-Fair Helping Hands, a ministry that serves those in need in our community! When a need arises, Andy is the first to ask, 'What can I do to help?'''

Although Andy has a head for business and a knack for marketing, his listening skills are even better. As he tells the story, "Time and time again, my customers would say, 'We love this warm and happy environment, but you need a bigger place.' After hearing it so many times, I decided to start looking around. When the New York Chicago Pizza House property became available, I latched on it."
Andy plans to pattern Andy's Bar and Grill after Rosters, his one-time hamburger joint located on the old driving range, which is now Memorial Hermann Hospital's parking lot. Formerly owned and operated by Andy and his colleagues, Rosters gained a reputation locally as a place friends and family could come and eat, relax, kick back, and have a good time. Adults dropped in to hang out in the evening, listen to music, and enjoy friends and fellowship.
Long-time customer Billy Cable added, "When we found out Andy planned to open the Bar and Grill, we were excited because we knew he was going to take his same attitude and drive and turn it into a unique venue that Fairfield doesn't have. You have other nightspots around, but they have a "bar" feeling. Andy's Bar and Grill will be different; it will be relaxed and friendly. I think it is going to be a beautiful thing for Cypress, and he is going to do well."
Like none other in the area, Andy's Bar and Grill will offer Andy's unique brand of hospitality and a totally new menu concept— a fusion of authentic Italian, Cajun, and Ameri-can-style cuisine. During the day, customers will dine in a kid-friendly environment. In the evenings, it will morph into a Cypress watering hole and a business model based on people eating and staying to relax and unwind. Monday through Thursday, customers might be surprised by karaoke or trivia night, and on weekends, they will enjoy live entertainment.
Although Andy has figured out how to live a happy, successful, and productive life, he may not know that he is offering all of those things back to the Fairfield community. A study published in the journal Adaptive Human Behavior and Psychology supports this contention. The study concluded that people who frequented a local watering hole had more extensive social networks, were more engaged with their community, claimed to be happier, had more friends, and were more satisfied with their lives.
Considering that a rich social life can lower one's blood pressure, reduce stress, and even help people to live longer, that right there might be a great excuse to drop in at Andy's Bar and Grill when the opportunity exists.
Andy's Bar and Grill, located at 27200 Hwy 290, suite 160, Cypress, TX 77433, will be open seven days a week, Sunday through Wednesday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, and Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 am.
