Welcome to our 52nd Annual Bull Sale! We would first like to say thank you for your continued support and patronage. We would also like to welcome first-time bull buyers. We appreciate each of you.
You will find this year’s offering to be the same quality bulls you have come to expect from us over 52 years of breeding and selling registered Angus cattle. Our goal is to produce quality cattle that are bred to get out and work, breed cows, and sire feeders that feedlots love. Overfed bulls don’t help anyone’s bottom line. Sure, they look great but when it is go-time for breeding season, they have a tendency to underperform. Our bulls have oodles of length, excellent feet and structure, and red meat. Length is where the big weaning weights come from. We pride ourselves on selling bulls that are longer than any Angus bulls in the industry.
You will notice our numbers of sale bulls are lower this year than most years. For several years on our Tongue River location, we suffered major drought and fires, which in turn took a toll on our herd. Added to the stress of a major move to new ranches and new surroundings, our number of cows had to be reduced. We are settled into the new ranches and the cows have finally adjusted to their new environments, and we must say, the cows are loving their new home. They are thriving and our cow numbers are starting to increase yearly. As we start our ascent upwards, we are implementing new technologies and concepts into our program. Included will be an IVF program, PAP testing, and complete EID tagging and information. You can still expect different bloodlines, customer support, and hard-working bulls from our place to yours.
New this year, we have PAP tested most of the bulls. Some of the younger bulls were summered at our Deer Lodge operation and the elevation is not high enough to get an effective PAP score. In 2025, all bulls will be summered at our Wisdom ranch, which has an elevation of 6500 ft, and we can make sure 100% of the bulls get a PAP score.
People often ask why we have a limited amount of sire groups? We do this for a reason. This allows us to see more uniformity in our calf crop and it allows us to pass that on to you. When you sell calves to the feeders, they like to see uniformity in your cattle.
Once again, we are having the bull sale entirely online and TV broadcast on Superior Livestock TV. This will be our 2nd year implementing this format, and we feel it went well last year. Our buyers gave us great feedback on this concept. This allowed our buyers to have NO travel time, NO bad roads, and NO additional expenses. This also gives our buyers more time to take care of the chores around the ranch. This is a concept you will see more of in the future.
As always, the bulls are available to view anytime before the bull sale. We have them penned at the Deer Lodge location and the replacement heifers are at the neighbor’s feedlot. If you are looking to start a herd or rebuild an existing herd, these heifers would work great. We have purchased them from some of our buyers, and we are very pleased with how they are developing. They are all 1 iron brand, current on all vaccines, and will be Bangs vaccinated.

VIEWING THE AUCTION
The auction will be broadcast online at Bid.SuperiorLivestock.com and the pre-recorded videos will also be hosted there. You do not need an account just to watch the auction or view videos of the sale offering.
ONLINE BIDDING
Go to Bid.SuperiorLivestock.com for Superior’s new online bidding platform. If you have not registered there before you will need to create an account. The first time you register an account you will receive a confirmation e-mail that you must click on. Once you have completed this, select the auction you would like to bid on and click the “Request a Buyer Number” button. The first time you request a buyer number you will be sent a confirmation code via text. Enter that code in the login portal and you will receive a buyer number. This 2-step verification process will only have to be done once and in the future you will be able to simply login and request a buyer number and receive it instantly for any auction. Once you have successfully registered and received a buyer number it will show your name and buyer number on both the video preview page and the online bidding page when you are logged in. If you have an account at LiveAuctions.tv you may skip the registration process and use those login credentials to request a buyer number as LiveAuctions is a division of Superior Livestock. TURN IN BIDS OVER THE PHONE
This is Superior’s traditional method of buying cattle and is the suggested process for anybody who does not have consistent, high-speed internet. You still must register an account at Bid.SuperiorLivestock.com and request a buyer number. Once you receive a buyer number you will see the bid line phone number. Just watch the auction online and call in at least 2 lots ahead of the lot you are looking to bid on. A Superior Livestock representative will be with you on the phone and will assist you in placing bids.
