Welcome
Dear Cattle Producers,
We would like to welcome you to the 2025 Slovek Ranch bull sale and say thank you to our customers! We love what we do and are here to serve your needs! This year’s sale brings a set of bulls that carry characteristics and genetics designed to be successful in every aspect of the industry and help bring both longevity and vitality to your operation. Our goal is to do what we can to create the best cattle for our customers in order to keep your operation profitable.
Our herd is culled hard in areas of fertility, feet, structure, udders, and pleasant dispositions; they are bred to be well-balanced and problem-free. A shorter breeding season is also becoming a quality we focus more on in the sense that if they breed in a 45 day breeding cycle, they get to stay. By doing this, they pass on impressive fertility to their daughters and certain qualities of calving ease that make your job easier and ultimately puts money back into your pocket.
We aim to raise cattle that have to go out and work for a living. They are bred to be easy keeping and efficient females whose progeny will pack on pounds using less feed: with feed and input costs, this is more important now than ever to maintain your bottom line. Our bulls are fed slower and not pushed hard, allowing them to grow at a more natural pace and helps them to hold up over the long term.
We have been enrolled in the Maternal Plus program through the American Angus Association for a few years now. They are coming out with a new EPD and data on functional longevity, something we really strive for! We have access to those EPD’s calculated in their program, though they are not published information yet, and 2/3 of our cow herd falls in the top half of the breed. This means our cows are bred to last longer and put more money in your pocket over the course of their lifetime.
We do not have time to put up with nuisance cattle and don’t expect you to have to either. By being hard on our cattle, they should create offspring that are easier on you and contribute to the success of your operation!
We stand behind our genetics and if you have any problems, please call and we will take care of you. You are welcome to come out and check out the bulls and cows at any point during the year, we love showing off our cattle!!

Welcome
Dear Cattle Producers,
Welcome to the Slovek Ranch Annual bull sale. We will be
offering both 2 year old and fall bulls. The bulls have passed a fertility test and they have all been trich tested. They have a breeding shot, pinkeye and footrot shots and are wormed. Every 2 year old bull was used for part of the breeding season as a clean up bull after ai’ing our herd.
The average weaning ratio on the 2 year old bulls is 108. Don’t overlook the fall bull bulls. Their average weaning ration is 107.
The bulls were on on pasture from May until November 25. Then they went to a 50 acre pasture and got stated on feed. They have to walk a ¼ mile from feed to water.
Hope to see you sale day or stop by the ranch anytime. Call 605-457-2311 or 605-685-3588.
