Daisy Award PBMC: Tammy Emery, RN, Knox Center • She’s one of my favorite nurses/managers in the building. I always see her helping out and making sure that everyone is okay, she even did a 16-hour shift as a CNA with no complaints, nothing but positivity! • This 1st floor manager goes above and beyond her responsibilities. Working the floor, staffing the floor (on-call or not), working CNA, charge nurse, med tech, etc. This “extra” is always done with a great attitude that is exceptional as I see it. • This nurse shows Daisy Award qualities. She is a team player, a positive leader and educator. She is always there to help. She comes in on her days off when short staffed. A true and honest individual. Kind to her CNAs and patients. • This nurse is a team player, always keeps her cool, stays late for her peers, friendly (always helpful), great leaders, says thank you and makes me feel important!

Sunshine Award PBMC: Lois Barter, CNA I must praise Lois Barter, a CNA who had been at Pen Bay Medical Center only two months. I was a patient in August 2018 and December 2017. Lois was at the top of her game. She offered to change my bedding, change my gown and got me stuff to bathe. I’d ring my bell and Lois was right there. She as very kind and very sociable and fun. She told me she was taking classes to become an RN. She will make a great one, that’s for sure. Sharon McDermott, Director of Inpatient & Critical Care Nursing, Lois Barter, CNA, MedSurge, Tiffany Love, Regional Chief Nursing Officer
