Dear Penn Dental Medicine Alumni and Friends,
You are invited to join fellow alumni and friends in Beijing for a very special Penn Dental Medicine program. Attend the Cranio-facial Stem Cell Therapy and Regeneration Symposium, a fascinating course about the future of care in our industry, go on a tour of the Peking University Dental School, and celebrate the official opening of the Penn Wharton China Center all while seeing the amazing sites Beijing has to offer.
The Craniofacial Stem Cell Therapy and Regeneration Symposium promises to provide a unique international platform for clinicians, researchers and the dental industry to focus on this exciting topic, define the state of the science of stem cell biology and discuss future developments and the translation to clinical therapies. Join a host of Penn faculty, alumni, friends and family in celebrating the official opening of the Penn Wharton China Center. Located in the Cesar Pelli-designed World Financial Center at the heart of Beijing’s Central Business District, the Center was established to enhance learning and research opportunities for Penn’s faculty, students, alumni and friends in China. The Center Dedication and Gala Celebration will highlight Penn’s engagement in China as a defining element of the future of the University, Penn Compact 2020. The evening will feature a formal program, including a forum of global thinkers addressing critical contemporary issues impacting China and the world, followed by an all-alumni reception and banquet dinner. So it seems a shame to come to Beijing and miss out on some amazing experiences, not found anywhere else in China (or the world). We offer here our solution to the problem, the Imperial Grandeur of Beijing tour. Come to Beijing and avail yourself of these unique and memorable experiences. As part of your Beijing experience you will wander the stunning imperial grounds of the Forbidden City, marvel at the architectural techniques used to built the Temple of Heaven, luxuriate in the serene beauty of Kunming Lake at the Summer Palace, and take in the sweeping views along the Great Wall at Mutianyu. Note that pre- and post-tour extensions are available to customize your experience and make your stay in China even more enjoyable. All will operate with a minimum of only two travelers. Please join us on this trip of discovery, specially designed to stimulate, educate, amaze and delight. Sincerely,
Maren Gaughan Associate Dean for Leadership Giving Development and Alumni Relations
