July 18, 5 to 9pm in Gyro Park! Lester McLean Band, food trucks, market and adult-only beverage garden!

Lester McLean and his band will be kicking off the first Night Market at Gyro Park, sponsored by Teck Metals Ltd., on Thursday, July 18. Their music will feature acoustic soul, funk and pop stylings from 7 to 8:30 pm, with local favourite Tony Ferraro on drums. Throughout his career, Lester has performed with a wide array of Canadian

and International artists including Maestro, jacksoul, Ashley McIsaac, Vinx, Jarvis Church, Colin James, Divine Brown and Jim Cuddy. Come early to Gyro Park, 1090 Charles Lakes Drive, so you don’t miss strolling through the market (get your picnic supper!) and opening act Brad Lee Whiplash & The Werewolves of Thunder starting at 6:15 pm!

Wellness Market July 27th - 10am to 2pm

The CBT’s Annual Photo Contest is Back! (From ourtrust.org newsletter} We want to see photos of your life in the Basin – whether that means your experience at a community event, a local historical site or the beautiful scenery that surrounds us. This year we’ll give you weekly hashtags to inspire your shots. Photographers of selected photos will receive $100 each. Weekly polls are now posted on Facebook with the deadline for submissions at 11 pm on Sunday, July 28, 2019. To participate on Instagram: Follow @columbiabasintrust and watch for the weekly post announcing that week’s hashtag. • Post a photo that represents life in the Basin. • Tag @columbiabasintrust in the photo and include the weekly hashtag and #BasinLife2019 in the caption. • Head to the Facebook poll every Monday to vote for your favourite from the week!
