Nature feeds us and sets the rhythm of life. Night, day, summer, winter. Whether our home is in Helsinki, Paris or Tokyo, nature is part of us. And we are part of nature.
But our connection has withered over time. Few of us have the time or chance to climb to the top of a fell, sit quietly in the forest, or see the cliffs shaped by the sea. Because nature gives us so much more than just nourishment. It feeds us.
Riisitunturi, Posio Finland
50-year journey from ceramics to lifestyle.
Pentik has been a part of homes for over 50 years, founded in 1971 by the artist Anu Pentik. Our story began when Anu moved to Posio in Finnish Lapland for work. Captivated by the breathtaking nature, ever changing seasons, and genuine people, she made it her home.
Pentik was born - own, genuine and beautiful.
Initially known for its beautiful handmade ceramics, Pentik has since evolved into a brand that embraces a complete lifestyle approach. From the early days of creating unique ceramic pieces like the imperfect, yet beautiful Kaamoskivi chandelier - inspired by the rugged Lapland landscape - we continue to blend nature and design in everything we do. Today, our collections reflect a timeless love for craft, creativity, and the simplicity of Nordic living, while still honoring our roots in hand-crafted ceramics.

Crafting personal homes with Nordic vibe.
For more than half a centry, Pentik has brought the essence of Nordic living into homes. We empower people to create homes that are warm, joyful and inviting - rooted in the simplicity and natural beauty of Scandinavian design.
At Pentik, authencity is at the heart of everything we do. Our focus on craftsmanship and creativity is evident in our hand-made ceramics, hand-painted patterns, and our unique approach to color. Each piece reflects the ingenuity of Nordic design, celebrating the timeless charm of nature and the art of living beautifully, yet simply. With Pentik, it’s not just about decorating - it’s about creating a home that tells a story, feels welcoming, and reflects the Scandinavian way of life.
FREESIA
Live simply, bloom wildly.
Designer Lasse Kovanen has painted the Freesia flower print using the tempera technique. The colour palette is combined of awakening spring and summer bright pink and sunshine yellow.
LOHKARE
The cliff below your window.
Stones and rocks moulded by the sea capture your gaze and enchant you with their irregular geometric shapes. Lohkare is a sculptural vase designed by Lasse Kovanen. The idea for the vase sparked as the designer gazed at the lakeside cliffs and stones on his long canoeing trips.
It is more than just a table. This is where we come together.
Invite your favourite people to share moments together. We invite you to relax and enjoy how tableware choices are made easy and inviting with us.
Our tableware collection merges the simplicity of Nordic design enriched with color, glazing or shapes of nature. Sharing micro moments of joy with the most important things - people.
Shine bright.
Freely flowing water makes soft curves around the rocks in the river. Those curves are now envisioned in Vuolle (Rapid) glassware, designed by Lasse Kovanen.

KIVI I STONE
No two stones are the same.
The dark glaze and delicate patterning of the Anu Pentik designed Kivi (Stone) series is handpainted on each dish. This is what makes each Kivi unique. Just like in the nature.
The quiet journey of the swans.
The calls of the swans carry far into the distance, blending with the wistful song of the freezing lake as they prepare for their migration. The Laulujoutsen (Whooper swan) print, designed by Minna Niskakangas, captures the large wings of Finland´s national bird, carrying it into the warmth of the south while we stay to enjoy the atmospheric darkness of the polar night.
Inspired by nature.
The Tuntu (Feel) ceramics collection is full of northern feeling. A feeling conveyed by the people who made the products. A feeling that we are part of nature and a feeling that we want to pass on from generation to generation. Tuntu is a practical, stackable tableware set designed by Tuuli Saarelainen and made in Finland at the world’s northernmost ceramics factory in Posio.
The vivid colours and interesting casts of the Tuntu dishes are achieved by dipping the products in a colour glaze twice. The manufacture of the tableware requires manual work and therefore each Tuntu dish is unique.
TUNTU
Stories from a Nordic home.
Reindeers are a common sight near our factory in Posio, someone has even peaked in through the window. In the Saaga series, reindeer design is present in dishes and textiles - from tablecloths to sheets and towels. So you can just imagine yourself sleeping on a reindeer sleigh.
A freely flowing Koski.
KOSKI
Untamed, but gentle. That´s the river essence. You´ll be mesmerised for a long time by the wildly flowing water. In the Koski (White water) tumbler designed by Minna Niskakangas, the flicker of light and water also catches the eye. The simple, easy to hold shape of the tumbler is enlivened by a surface pattern that Minna originally created by carving into plywood.
For the biggest moments of a small life.
The Kaamoskivi is a true creature of nature - unique, wild and free. The first Kaamoskivi’s were born in the early 1970s, when Anu Pentik moved to Posio in Lapland. She wanted to create an object that captured the raw natural power of her new home - the autumn colours of the fells, lichen on the bare rocks, the rugged edges of glacial boulders. She dug the sand she mixed with the clay from shores of lake Livojärvi. And the Kaamoskivi candle holder was born. Kaamoskivi became a huge hit. People fell in love with its strong design language and the untamed energy it brought into their homes. Every Kaamoskivi also comes with a bit of sand from Posio. And every one is a piece of northern nature.
