Budget and Finance Taxe rates decrease when property values increase Property owners in the district saw a tax rate decrease of 3.4%. The reducon is a combinaon of new developments and rising property values, both good indicators of a growing local economy.

A great return on your investment Eight valley school districts rank at the top in Arizona for giving students a big academic “return on investment” for the amount of tax dollars spent, according to a new naonal report. The Washington, D.C., Center for American Progress idenfied Peoria Unified as one of eight high-achievement, low-cost operaons. Results on state tests and the Ariz. Office of the Auditor General’s annual school spending profiles are school measurements available to taxpayers and voters. The report also took into account each district’s challenges, such as student poverty levels. Source: The Republic | azcentral.com | August 8, 2014
We accomplish more with less Peoria Unified spends $166 less per student on facility and plant operaons than the state average, according to the Ariz. Office of the Auditor General. This reinforces the district’s commitment to reduce ulies costs and effecvely manage available resources. High expectaons and successful achievements are accomplished with limited resources. According to the Auditor General, Peoria Unified receives $477 less per student than the average of the largest school districts in Arizona and $788 less than the overall state average. Compared to the national average, Peoria Unified receives $3,950 less per student. Student Support 8.7¢ Instruconal Support 5.2¢
