For this reason the program emphasizes the human, moral, and ethical dimensions of policy challenges in its coursework alongside quantitative and qualitative analysis. The importance of faith in preparing ethical leaders and the foundational significance of religious liberty are integral to the program's teachings and students from all faith backgrounds are welcome.

My decision to attend the Pepperdine School of Public Policy was heavily influenced by the program’s internship component. Interning at the White House gave me the opportunity to apply the skills I had learned during my first year to the policy-making process. The combination of policy-related coursework and practical application is what sets Pepperdine apart from other schools and distinguishes its students from the rest.

Hattie Arrington (MPP ’12) Founder and CEO, Crete Academy 2020 Visiting Professor of Education Policy and Impact

Putting Studies into Practice Two real-world policy-application requirements are part of our program.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT The professional development requirement enables students to build their professional skills and networks, and see the variety of career opportunities available to them. publicpolicy.pepperdine.edu/master-public-policy/ professional-development

POLICY INTERNSHIP The policy internship requirement ensures students get hands-on public policy experience.
