BEACH FUN FACILITY

Beach Volleyball Returns To Coolum Beach

As the sands come back to our beaches, so too does Beach Volleyball with the return of the free public court on Coolum Beach.

Beach volleyball is an excellent way to have fun while staying active and enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery that the Sunshine Coast has to offer.

President, Cam Bettenay says: “We are so pleased to be able to provide this facility for the local community once again as there is an ever growing community of beach volleyball players on the Sunshine Coast and public courts make it easier for them and others to enjoy the game.”

When the court was here last (before the big swells of 2022) it was regularly used for recreation and even a training facility for some of the country’s best.

Caitlin Bettenay currently represents Australia and often returns home for training with local Chico Jones, a former Olympic Coach.

Whilst many of us know the game as an Olympic sport it is a great activity to enjoy no matter what your level, the Coolum court is there for all so be sure to grab a ball and invite your friends.
