Visitor information TRANSFORMING FEED & LIVESTOCK INDUSTRY IN ASIA Asia’s demand for feed, livestock and meat processing supplies and equipment will continue to grow strongly as meat consumption per capita increase. The place to be to tap on these opportunities is at the 6th edition of LIVESTOCK ASIA Expo & Forum - Asia’s International Feed, Livestock Production & Meat Industry Show which will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 4th - 6th October 2011. Hosted by the Department of Veterinary Services, Ministry of Agriculture and Agro Based Industry Malaysia, LIVESTOCK ASIA Expo & Forum is today a “must attend” event for decision makers and buyers across Asia. Over 650 buyers from as far as Yemen, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran and Kazakhstan attended the last event to source for new equipment and supplies. More than 7,000 trade visitors and delegates, representing integrators, veterinarians, farmers, feed millers, processors, retailers, importers and distributors are expected to attend the Expo, Conference and Technology Symposiums in 2011. More importantly, over 95% of exhibitors rated their participation a success and an estimated RM 380 million ( USD 115 million ) worth of businesses was done during the 3-days event. No wonder many rated LIVESTOCK ASIA Expo & Forum the best industry show in Asia. Themed “ Transforming Feed & Livestock Industry in Asia”, LIVESTOCK ASIA 2011 is staged to capitalize on the transformation of small backyard farming to large scale integrated farms. ASIA MARKET UPDATES The FAO projected that poultry production in Asia will reach about 34.2 millions tons, accounting for 36% of the world’s total, with a slight increase compared to last year ( last year of poultry production in Asia, the propotion of the world’s total production, 35.5% ). Southeast Asia remains one of the world’s fastest-growing regions with an average annual economic growth of 5 percent. The region’s livestock production and feed demand amid commercialization of livestock farms and integration of feedmilling and trading companies will see continues growth. Southeast Asia’s growing feed demand and deficiency of local feed grain production creates a market for 3.8 to 4.0 million tons ( 150 to 157 million bushels ) of corn and 600,000 tons of DDGS annually. The livestock industry in Malaysia continues to achieve strong growth. Poultry and egg production grew 50% in 10 years and reach 7,657,000 and 550,656,000 respectively.

LIVESTOCK ASIA 2011 - TRACK RECORD IN DELIVERING RESULTS LIVESTOCK ASIA Expo & Forum is a tradeshow that delivers. It targets trade and business visitors and more significantly decision-makers that matters your participation a success. A total of 6,157 trade visitors including 652 overseas delegates registered for the 3-days event in 2009 of which, 78% were in a position to make purchasing decision.
