The energy of the fall season inspires many people to sign up for a course to acquire skills for job advancement, take up a new hobby, or simply for the joy of learning. Lifelong learning represents more than just taking a class – it is a lifetime attitude and commitment to developing one’s potential. Our adult ESL program funded by the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration continues to provide quality English language instruction throughout the city. Partnership initiatives with local business allow us to provide valuable workplace skills training to our immigrant community. The LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) includes a very unique program to teach English to deaf, hard of hearing or deafened adults. Enrichment opportunities for youth are provided year round through Continuing and Community Education programming. Several thousand children and youth take part in summer camps, summer school, International Languages programs both elementary and secondary, driver education, and a variety of general interest courses. St. Nicholas Adult High School had over 1,000 students registered last year. Flexible personalized Student Trustees: options including Credits @ Work and On-Line Studies allow adults the opportunity to complete their high school diploma. I encourage you to browse through our program guide and join our learning community!

Wealth management means more than just investing money and saving taxes. It’s also about monitoring your financial health from time to time so that you can be pro-active instead of reactive. The ‘Financial Health Check-Up’ workshop teaches you how to measure your financial health and determine how much debt, insurance or investment product is right for you and your family at different life stages. He left the band at 18 and moved to Toronto where he graduated in 1981 with an Associateship in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, University of Toronto. He also studied Jazz Piano with a handful of Toronto jazz musicians. He moved back to Ottawa in ‘81, and has taught privately ever since. Fall Dates 2012

Fall Dates 2012 In 2003, Paul Moylan walked the 800 kilometer, 1200-year-old footpath of the ‘Camino de Santiago’ across northern Spain with his wife Sandra. Having spent 20 years in the high tech industry in sales and marketing, he found the month long pilgrimage journey a blissful break from his multitasking and sometimes frenetic modern world. The ancient walk he credits as peaceful, meditative, spiritual and transformative, something hundreds of thousands from all over the world are now discovering every year. The journey inspired Paul to create workshops and write planning guides for others who might want to walk ‘The Way of St. James’. In 2009, Paul returned to Spain to travel the ‘Camino’ again, this time alone, spending much of his time maintaining a public blog describing his feelings and the experiences of a 21st century pilgrimage and more recently the book “Camino de Santiago – Fingerprints of God”.
