ClinicalDiagnostic&Laboratories
Our extensive experience and grasp of national trends enable us to collaborate with our clients to develop lean approaches to laboratory operations such as improving specimen flow with thoughtful equipment placement and automation, optimizing space allocation, considering logistics, and providing adaptable, sustainable infrastructure. We also plan and design research and development as well as cellular therapy laboratories. Creating innovative, functional, and attractive laboratory work environments supports our clients in staff recruitment/retention, health and safety; clinicians with accurate, cost-effective test results; and patients with the right treatment for their condition.
PERKINS EASTMAN UNDERSTANDS that today’s healthcare laboratories play a pivotal role in the clinical decision-making process, and targeted treatments require rapid, accurate diagnostics.
Designing for clinical decision-making
At the same time, competition in the marketplace, expanding test menus, emerging pathogens, new technologies and therapies, the regulatory environment, and a mobile workforce, demand that labs be nimble, efficient and a great place to work.

Design Leaders for Clniical, Research and Medical Facilities
Our portfolio comprises work in a wide range of specialized project types. But at the core of our philosophy is looking beyond any single practice area or building type to find design opportunities through the convergence of our diversity of practices, disciplines, and perspectives to yield practical and holistic solutions. We promote a culture of collaboration, mentoring, and crosspollination of ideas and perspectives supporting the idea that design must have a direct and positive impact on people’s lives. As such, our team draws from across our convergent team to bring specific expertise for Quest.
Based on our work with some of the foremost academic medical centers in North America, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, we understand that campuses are ecosystems that meet the needs of varied clinical and research users. Our approach ensures an alignment of continuously shifting practice of healthcare, science, research and education.
