Erasmus+ Staff Week in Pécs April 24-28, 2017
About
The University of Pécs has been celebrating the 650th anniversary of its foundation in 2017. Using this joyful opportunity, we would like to refresh our Erasmus+ projects and partnerships by sharing knowledge and ideas with You! The topics will cover the biggest challenges of internationalization from the perspective of the Erasmus+ program such as credit recognition, communication with the „Z” generation etc. Through the lectures, workshops and brainstorming events the participants will get a broad view of the Erasmus+ program and releated fields like communication, mentoring, etc.
Costs
The University of Pécs will provide and cover the costs of all coffee breaks, lunches, information kit, sightseeing events and a trip to Villány (Center of the Villány Wine Region) with dinner in a premium winery with wine tasting. The attendants will have to cover their travel to Pécs and their accommodation.
We are eager to work with you, if you are an active participant willing to learn and share knowledge want to visit the beautiful city of Pécs and would like take part in our 650 Jubilee year

Accommodation You will have to make the hotel reservations for yourself. We are going to recommend you hotels that are located close to the Staff Week’s venue.
How to get to Pécs? By plane: Liszt Ferenc International Airport is located in Budapest and offer flights to all majors cities in Europe. From Budapest, you can get to Pécs using the Travel4You shuttle agency: www.travel4you.hu By train: You can also reach Pécs by train from many European cities. For detailed schedules please visit: https://www.mavcsoport.hu/en By car: The M6 highway connects Pécs to Budapest. You can also reach our city by car from the south, using road 6 or M60.

University of Pécs
The history of higher education in Pécs dates back to 1367, when Louis the Great initiated the establishment of a university in the episcopal city of Pécs. The University has become one of the most famous, prestigious institutions having a leading role in regional education. It has ten faculties which cover the full spectrum of high-quality higher education.

Now the university has around 20,000 enrolled students, which includes 3,400 international students studying in more than 50 full degree programs running in English and German. The University of Pécs is dedicated to increase the number of international students to 5,000 by the year of 2020.
