Charity Golf Day and Lighthouse Club Party a Huge Success A very pleasant afternoon of charity golf was staged at the Plataluang Navy Golf Course (South of Pattaya), to aid charity projects supported by the Lighthouse Club Foundation (LHC). Three of Pattaya’s ‘Movers and Shakers’ put a lot of work into organising this very relaxing charity day, the Real Estate Magazine, JVK International Movers, and Town and Country Properties. With 110 golfers taking part, there were some excellent scores, with the winning team being ‘Finex’ Apparel Company, whose four man team produced an incredible score of 54, (which is 18 below par). Second was ‘Paradise City’ (60), and

third was ‘RSM Thailand’ (63). These teams were very accomplished golfers and as well as having a fun day of golfing, a lot of money was raised for charity. This was followed in the evening with some great entertainment at ‘The

Village’ on the junction of Chaijapruek-1 Road and Sukhumvit, and further amounts of cash were raised. Nobody minded the admission fee because funds went to the LHC, who perform excellent charity work helping the children of construction workers who live on site, and usually have very limited educational facilities, and mobile classrooms are just one area where they have made big advancements. A great night out with plenty of food and drinks, that did not run out for the entire evening,

and in spite of heavy rain, the swimwear show went ahead on time. The highly regarded designers and manufacturers, ‘Phuket Mermaids’, put on this fashion parade, which was a resounding success. The large crowd was highly delighted when some of our best professional models, carried on parading along the cat-walk in the pouring rain. One of the more adventurous golfers added to the excitement by jumping into the adjacent pond in a fully clothed but slightly inebriated state.

This very successful charity evening included some big raffle prizes being won, with the biggest being a complete swimming pool valued at 180,000 baht. The show rolled on late into the night, with further amounts of cash being raised to bring the total to around 130,000 baht. The ‘Movers and Shakers’ organised this evening event in conjunction with the Light-House Club (LHC) of Thailand, and was backed by various other businesses. There was some excellent feedback on such a successful day, so everyone is looking forward with anticipation to next year’s ‘Movers and Shakers’ charity event.
