Pattaya gets its first official ‘Night Bazaar’

The ‘Avenue’ Shopping Centre on Second Road is a well known Pattaya Landmark and on the evening of the 8th October it was awash with local dignitaries, management and directors from the Siam Future Development Public Co. Ltd, the owners of the centre, invited local businessmen and honoured guests. I hear your mind ticking, the ‘Avenue’ had its official opening a couple of years ago, and you would indeed be correct, however, this very special evening was to celebrate the official opening of ‘Pattaya’s First Night Bazaar’. The Grand Opening Ceremony was made by Pattaya’s Mayor, Khun
Itthiphol Khunplome, together with the Chairman Advisor of Siam Future Developments, Khun Bandit Siritanyong, A s s i s t a n t Managing Director of Siam Future Developments, Khun Chernchai Niyamanusorn, and the General Manager of the Pattaya ‘Avenue’
Shopping Complex, Khun Pornphan Srisuthaphan. The opening ceremony included a display of Thai Boxing training by one very energetic young lady and dance performances from some very talented young men and ladies. There was an abundance of finger foods for the invited guests and local shoppers. In his opening address the Mayor congratulated
the shopping centre on its insight into the needs of local Pattaya residents and visiting tourists, seeing the need for a night bazaar, and taking the bull by the horns and setting up this very impressive night time shopping experience. He believed that this will become one of the major tourist attractions for visitors to Pattaya, along side the Floating Market, Nongnooch Gardens, the Sanctuary of
