Cowboy Carnival Rides into Town

25 BAHT

It’s time to get out your cowboy gear, polish those boots, shine those spurs, and buckle on your chaps as the first Pattaya Cowboy Music Carnival kicks into full swing on the 21st to the 23rd of January at Bali Hai Pier. There will be a number of Country and Western bands performing live at the event and attractions to suit all ages.

Publicity for the event can be seen throughout Pattaya

Chonburi Governor and the owner of Sophon Cable TV I hope they insist on ID cards, you know what these Thai girls are like with their ages? This will definitely be one of the most colourful events taking place this year in Pattaya and will include a Cowboy and Indian battle, Rodeo competition, lasso and whip cracking show, and a whole range of excellent cowboy activities.

The event is a collaboration with Pattaya City Hall joining forces with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), and the ‘Cowboy Group of the East’ to bring you this Wild West extravaganza. The highlight of the event will be the ‘Miss Cowgirl 2010’ competition which is open to all young ladies between 16 and 26 years old,

There will be an abundance of food booths serving the finest cowboy food and a Western style Town so you can stock up on all those supplies before you move your wagon train onto your favourite bar. This was all the information we could get for this carnival prior to going to press, however, if you would like further information we suggest you contact the Pattaya Call Centre Help Line on 1337 who will give you all the information you need.

First Art Exhibition to Honour His Majesty King

An official ceremony at the Art Exhibition in honour of His Majesty the King took place at the Central Festival Pattaya Beach Shopping Mall; the ceremony was conducted by H.R.H. Somsawali. The exhibition looked at the life of His Majesty through the eyes of a group of independent Pattaya artists. The artists themselves initiated the exhibition

wanting a way to show their respect to the Monarch, a form of Merit making and to follow the example of their King by donating some of the proceeds from sold paintings to the PA Foundation. The dazzling display included more than 250 paintings from local artists, and a further 150 from internationally famous artists from around the world.
