02 SMASHED IT! >> LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE’S EYE BROWS HAVE POPPED DOWN FOR DRINK
GET YOUR TASH ON - MOVEMBER IS COMING After a great shout from IBC”s Marketing Manager Nick Mitchinson, this month sees five of the IBC team getting ready to fire up the tash forget Tom Selleck, Burt Reynolds and all the other tash miesters, we’ve potentially got five of the tashiest (is that even a word?!) men in town. Enter Nick Mitchinson, Paul Read, Peter Coleman, Raymit Patel and Marc Coulson, these guys are doing their bit to help out, but we need more top lip bushyness, so if you’d like to sport your tashiest look, here’s why it could be one of the best moves you make this year. Raising awareness for The Movember Foundation, the charity is committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. Since 2003, millions have joined the men’s health movement, raising £402 million and funding over 1,000 programmes focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical activity. All you have to do to take part is simply have a clean shave on the 31st October and let the mo grow to save a bro throughout the whole of November. Nick promises to get the whole event highlighted on our social media channels along with coverage in Builders Merchants News. “I just think it’s a great idea to get as many of us involved as possible to highlight the causes supported by Movember whilst having a bit of fun at the same time. Those interested in taking part should email us at the usual address marketing@allneedsgroup.co.uk
DOING IT FOR THE KIDS Life can be a grinding challenge that drives you mad at times, we all know that. But what makes the journey here on this mortal coil an often tolerable and even joyful experience is when our fellow man reaches out from his heart, and does something of real value that brings people together, creating a strong community spirit in the process. This month we doff our Allneeds
marketing caps to ABC’s Prax whose generosity contributed largely to the build of a children’s playground near his home in London. The park will give the local kids some much needed play space and also offers the opportunity for the mums to meet up and have lots of mumsie chats. Well done Prax a true master stroke!

That’s some serious ‘off the hook’ performance Harish, we’re sure we speak for everyone here when we say you’re a true ABC ‘No Problem’ Hero!
ABC’s Harish Kerai
STAFF SPOTLIGHT - SAILESH BIKA WHAT DOES THAT BLOKE IN IBC’S OFFICE DO THEN? This is Sailesh Bika - he keeps the Allneeds coffers full with his ninja-esque bean counting skills, quick fire invoicing, rebate calculations for both Capital and IBC and pin point reports that are so precise, he makes a David Beckham freekick look as wobbly as a walk home after a night out with Vick. He plays a vital role to ensure we all get our hard earned wage at the end of the month. So here’s to Sailesh - we salute you sir for all your hard work!

THE PILLAR PROGRAMME WITH THE NUMBER OF PILLAR MEETINGS, IT FEELS AS IF WE ARE BUILDING A NEW CITY! WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT I HEAR YOU CRY! Well, you all gave some feedback at the end of last year telling us about the things we needed to improve and change in Allneeds to make the company function properly and support the staff who are working for its success. The areas you identified fall into 5 themes as follows: People – how we manage and develop our staff Brand – achieving a clear image and reputation for the business that doesn’t conflict with the independence of each of the three businesses Customer – Ensure that our customer commitments are realistic and deliverable Health & Safety – ensuring safe practices and the safe operation of our business Leadership – ensuring the competencies, skills and abilities to lead the company’s future growth and success The Pillar meetings are part of that process. Four teams have been involved in reviewing areas of the business. However, three of these Pillar meetings are now on hold and that is Customer, Health and Safety and Leadership. The ability of these groups to continue is dependent on recruiting new resources and also identifying and tackling connecting issues in the work of the groups so that there is no duplication, or that critical information is not overlooked. In the meantime, the Brand AND People Pillar groups will continue with their work.
MORE HR NEWS ON PAGE 6

PETER SMASHES IT AT THE HERTS DIGITAL AWARDS
Our Designer Peter Coleman GREAT NEWS THIS MONTH FOR OUR AWARD WINNING DESIGNER PETER COLEMAN WHO STORMED HOME WITH GOLD AND SILVER AT THE HERTORDSHIRE DIGITAL AWARDS Established in 2014, the Hertfordshire Digital Awards rewards innovation and progressive thinking by businesses, individuals, events, charities or educational establishments. The winners span several industries and range from individuals to national companies, but all have at the core of their entry a desire to use digital media as a means to achieve greater things for their business. Their mission is not only to reward those businesses who have already taken significant strides forward, they’re also celebrating a huge pool of design and development ability and, most importantly, showcasing what is possible for any business willing to take that step forward. On 24th September 2015, Vick and the IBC team headed down to the Stevenage Holiday Inn, in great anticipation as IBC’s website had been nominated in the ‘Best Responsive Website’ category. We were up against some
pushing the business forward in terms of our digital marketing. Highlight of the night though was our very own designer Peter Coleman who ‘Smashed It!’ by scoring both Silver and Gold for his other design work. Peter has been with us for almost four years and is described by the recently departed John Brett as ‘an amplifier who pushes our message through walls’ very stiff opposition, and very proud to make it to the finals. The eventual winners of the Gold, Labrums Solicitors, were most surprised stating they never thought they would beat us to win the top prize. That alone is a great testament to the way in which we are
WAS A GREAT MOMENT TO BE CALLED UP TO STAGE TO COLLECT MY AWARDS
Known for his ability to create eye catching visuals, Peter has been with the company on a freelance basis since 2011 and has been at the centre of most of the brand touch-points of the business’s from the IBC Marketing Campaigns, Website and Video’s to ABC and Capital’s vehicle fleet and more. Seeing the exposure being offered to us has made us even more determined to win big next year. Having the title “award winning” attached to our digital marketing exploits is something that will breed great confidence among our suppliers and members as it shows we really are about ‘Commitment Through Innovation’. All in all a great night, well done Peter! You ‘Smashed it’!
