PRAX, SAILESH & CO TO SMASH THE SAHARA

KICKING OFF 2016 - PRAX, SAILESH AND A FEW FRIENDS ARE TAKING ON THE SAHARA DESSERT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HAVEN HOUSE CHILDREN’S HOSPICE.

TOMAS THE TRAINER!

A truly adventurous bike ride to the Sahara. The boys will be riding nearly 600km over 5 days through this wonderful land, through bazaars, across the Atlas mountains, into the Dades & Todra Gorges and onwards to the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes. In taking on this challenge the 6 of them are aiming to increase awareness of Haven House and ultimately help raise some essential funds for this well deserving local charity. The support they provide to terminally ill children and their families is truly amazing.

Good luck guys, we are most proud of you!

WHEN WE TALK ABOUT COMMITMENT - TOMAS FROM ABC FINCHLEY SINGLE HANDEDLY ARRANGED A CROMAR GRP TRAINING FOR CUSTOMERS . Every customer paid £120 toward it and all passed with a 20 years certificate on instillation. How cool is that! What a dude!

Amazing turnout & inspirational day Well done Tomas!

Superb work Tomas - an inspired act!

AND BULLIES SPECIAL PRIZE...

OK SO THANKS TO SUNIL WE SCORED A GREAT DAY OUT UP AT ALEXANDRA PALACE FOR THE WORLD DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP We were in the VIP area. Getting some banter from the “cheap” seats, good time was had by all. Some sub contractors and merchant customers attended with the

Capital team for the afternoon session. The tickets included Champagne reception, food and free bar, hence the banta saying it is free down here! As in the cheap seats you have to visit the bar a pay for you own beer! How rude….. we had a waiter who would visit the bar on a regular basis loading our table with the required number of beers! And a glass of wine for the ladies!! We are not animals…

STAFF SPOTLIGHT - JAMES ALLEN OK SO HE’S GROWN UP A BIT SINCE THIS PHOTO, HE’S SWTICHED THE RUSKS FOR CHINESE AND THE MILK FOR JACK DANIELS, BUT CAPITAL’S COVERT PARTY BOY BRINGS MORE TO THE TABLE THAN THAN THAT... When James is in full flow he’s closing deals for Capital in true boiler room fashion, making sure the Capital vehicles are loaded to the hilt with all the stock he sells on a daily basis. When he’s not closing all those deals, James likes to spend time Stamp collecting, “I feel this is very therapeutic

after a very long day & i feel this helps me relax, ready for another day in the Capital World, I have only started to collect stamps back in the beginning of September 2015. So far I have managed to obtain one first class stamp with a picture of the Queen on, after paying 63p for this from the post office I decide this was not the way forward for me! All Jokes aside, I enjoy playing football on a weekend but most of all I enjoy spending time with my family, I have two amazing sons that keep me occupied, they give me a reason to go to sleep with a smile & wake up with one too!”

Reports are that the tickets are being booked for next year but we are going to be “in front of the stage” not sure if this is to see the darts of the dancing ladies!!! Great atmosphere and a fantastic feedback from all that attended.

Nice one Sunil..

we got SMASHED :-)

INTRODUCING THE NEW LOOK IBC

SO AS YOU WILL HAVE SEEN FROM THE FRONT COVER AND ABOVE- IBC HAVE A WHOLE NEW BRAND IMAGE GOING ON - THIS IS THE NEW IBC FOR 2016 AND BEYOND! When it comes to reshaping a whole business, once the strategy is in place, a new identity has to be formed in order to communicate the new direction. One of the most powerful ways of doing this, is to change the colour pallet, gone is IBC’s Pantone 287 blue which was shared across all three of the companies , and in it’s place, a visually striking deep red, Pantone 7621 - laying the visual foundations to give IBC it’s own solid identity. With Finbarr’s 3 year plan in place, IBC’s Marketing Team have the task of delivering a series of visual set pieces to drive home IBC’s new message Intelligent Commitment. “We looked at a whole number of ways of telling the new story for IBC and one aspect we decided on straight away was that IBC’s colour had to change” explains Pete Coleman, designer for Allneeds. “We experimented with a few colour palettes and collectively felt that Pantone Red 7621 was the most appropriate colour to lead IBC into a

new era” Next came IBC’s new mark, an icon that demonstrates our ‘intelligent commitment’ to both our members and suppliers. Over time, and as we work together, our new logo will become synonymous in the minds of our members with all the values we stand for and the level of service we offer. The IBC icon is a symbol of strength through unity, working together with intelligent analysis of market and member data which is at it’s core, is the engine that drives this new initiative. Most of the IBC marketing activities will now be focused on developing powerful platforms on all digital arenas including

the development of user defined dashboards, enabling the members complete access to how their business is performing as well as the latest pricing uploaded by suppliers.

The IBC icon is a symbol of strength through unity

Add to that, the data we pull together will enable us to make results driven recommendations to our members in a way that will guarantee their success.

...AND IBC GARDEN

WHEN IT CAME TO ESTABLISHING IBC GARDEN’S NEW IDENTITY - IT WAS SIMPLY A CASE OF REPLICATING IBC’S NEW APPROACH - WITH A COLOUR PALETTE THAT IS RELEVANT TO THE MARKET PLACE. Previously, IBC Garden had only a few marketing touchpoints produced before we decided to halt progress until we had the right people in place to deliver our promise. As IBC were going through wholesale changes, Finbarr decided to park IBC Garden until this year.

“We wanted to take the new IBC Garden into the market place with a

We wanted to take the new IBC Garden into the market place with a poweful new image powerful new image and message that would engage our prospective clients” explained Finbarr.

HERE HE IS

BERTIE’S ‘AVIN A LAUGH!

BERTIE’S BANTER CORNER By Bertie Bucket

SO HERE WE ARE, ANOTHER YEAR UNDERWAY AND AS JANUARY COMES TO A CLOSE, I’VE BEEN KEEPING UP THE NEW HEALTH REGIME TO SHIFT THAT MINCE PIES AND JACK DANIELS - IT’S NOT EASY THOUGH, ALREADY I’M ADDICTED TO TREBOR EXTRA STRONG MINTS...YEAH APPARENTLY I’VE NOW GOT MENTHOL HEALTH ISSUES.

WHO’S UP FOR 5 A SIDE?

Talking of Christmas, I got Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Goalkeeping Heroes’ on DVD ... It’s just totally clips of Joe Hart. But that aside I’m not saying I was clever at school, but I got more ‘A’s than a Scouser trying to break a fight up. Anyway...ahem! As you’ll see there are plenty of new starters around the place, ABC Depot along with Capital and IBC will be consistantly expanding as the year goes on. As ever it’s a solid high five from Prax and co for your hard work and dedication. We know sometimes things get rough but we are built for the tough stuff so you’ve every reason to believe in yourself. Every month I’m looking for one of you ABC guys or girls to ping me over some funnies. It’s important to have a laugh in life, it helps balance the soul when life’s challenges demand that we rise up and be more. When the going gets tough - the tough get going as they say.

When the going gets tough - the tough gets going

GERRRTCHA! Also for a while, there have been conversations in the IBC office regarding getting together for a game of footy, call it the ‘Allneeds interdepartmental championship’ if you will, but who’d be up for some 5 a-side footy? We’re sure we can get chief organiser and party planner Emma Smith of IBC to sort something out? Stretch those legs and show your ‘tekkers!’ You never know, there might be a prize on offer for the winners! Let us know at the address below and if we get the numbers we’ll make it happen! Bertie

ENOUGH CHEESE? We want funny of the month - so keep a look out around the place for any stories you think might be worth shouting about. Otherwise I might have to resort to more cheesy jokes.
