FEBRUARY HAMSİ TAVA FRIED ANCHOVY

Today, 120 kinds of anchovy dishes are made in Turkey and in the world. Anchovy is an important symbol for Black Sea people. It is a type of fish that is as rich in omega-3 as salmon.

How to make fried anchovy? INGREDIENTS ½ kg fresh anchovy 2 tbsp corn flour 1 tsp salt ½ cup sunflower oil/corn oil (optional)

PREPARATION -Cut the heads off. Gut the anchovy and wash with cold water, drain. Put them in a bowl. -Mix corn meal and salt and sprinkle on anchovies. Toss them gently to coat. - Pour the oil into a large skillet and heat it up over high-medium heat. - Place them on frying pan in flower shape and fry one side until golden brown then turn them upside down with a help of a lid. -Cook the other side as well. - When they are done, place the fried anchovy on a plate with paper towel to absorb the excess oil. -Serve with lemon.
